Well it's coming up on Christmas, and it's time for the creative minds that make up the CCC to to join in on the spirit of the season. Christmas is about hope, joy, peace and goodwill to all men; so it's time to bring that to SWM. The challenge this week will be to build a non-combat healer piece that ALSO has a commander effect or ability that aids their allies protectively/defensively. I'm sure you guys will not disappoint as there has been some epic designs lately.
1. You may update any existing versions you already have and/or create a new one. You may update/create several versions of the character but you must ultimately select 1 you wish to run with. (this must be done by the schedule below)
2. Place a hyperlink in this forum to make it easier to find your character. You can just post the stats or image here but if changes are needed it would be easier (and save space) if you just used a Hyperlink (If you don't know how to post Hyperlinks in a forum setting please ask and we will help you. It's not hard )
3. Voting works as follows, pick your three favorite customs based on accuracy to the character, design, balance or whatever you decide makes the best incarnation of the challenge character. First place receives 3 points, 2nd place receives 2 points, and 3rd place receives 1 point.
4. You do not have to enter the contest in order to vote. But unless you enter you must have at lest 10 forum posts.
5. To make things fair you must vote in order to win the contest. You must choose three characters entered in the contest and you may not rate or vote for your own character.
6. The winner will be decided by how many points they receive. Ties will be broken by most 1st place votes, then if still tied, 2nd place votes and then 3rd place votes. If still tied, then the outcome is a tie.
7. You may not change or update the entered character AFTER the deadline.
You will have until Sat, Dec 16th, 2017 @8pm EST to get your submissions in. Anything submitted after this point will not be included in the voting.
Voting will start at 8pm on Saturday evening and end at 11pm EST on Monday, Dec 18th, 2017.
At the conclusion of the voting the scores will be tallied and the winner will start a new topic with their choice of theme.

Well, I've been gone for 4-5 days. Grandkid stuff. Congrats on the win GG. Xmas Cheer .... aid to the galaxy ... hmmm, let me rummage around in my bag of goodies .... Republic Medical Corps Doctor My Doctors Without Borders/Peace Corps/UN Relief worker rolled into one, so to speak.  cheers, surf

Obviously this only matters in a competitive environment. So take that for what its worth.

The same could be said for a Diplomat as long as another character is in sight; and its a rather useless waste of the character to have that much healing ability and only use it for gambit. Interesting that gambit is the only use you could find for her.

Speaking of diplomats: Interestingly enough your character paired with a diplomat = an untargetable defense. There are ways around though so it's not broken, but does get close.

This character is based upon the Space Rescue Corp from "The Far Orbit Project" P. 73 the Rescue Corp is the star wars version of the Red Cross/Red Crescent. OR you could think of them as the "White Helmets" in Syria or Médecins Sans Frontières. They are a neutral Non combatant, that is there to rescue and heal people. I limit her to 2 copies at most, and gave her a range of healing options depending on how far away the damaged character is (with the closer the better). I made Non Combatant for obvious reasons as well as Humanitarian to introduce an interesting twist to the independent medic whom is there to save lives. (I am open to adjusting the failure %). I made these last two abilities to also help the character's survival, so that she is less likely to be blasted as soon as possible for meta reasons instead of just giving her a heck of a lot of HP, defense, evade etc. She is visible, and not hard to hit, and not armored as she needs to be able to get around to get to her next patient. I gave her a very useful CE to boost other medics. The Rescue Corp insignia on her back and chest is what supposed to protect her from being killed (much like the Red Cross/Red Crescent etc) http://www.bloomilk.com/Custom/28524/veteran-resccorp-medic
