Listening to SHNN right now and this is the greatest Chiss quote ever from DarkDracul:

"I think the Chiss subfaction is definitely something that's there."

LOL!

Yeah, that's about right. Eli is a nice addition, and I think he does something fun, but as gandalf mentioned, the grunts aren't strong enough to work with all their boosts.

Covenant already had the rival ability in v14. Adding it here does nothing but keep her away from Bastila. Jedi Shadow doing 120 is pretty excessive if you ask me. One of the goals in this set was to make the Covenant squads more viable and
I think this piece succeeds there.

Edit: I first came up with the concept for her almost 2 years ago and originally was going to give out momentum but then we got Revan with Quick Strike and I wanted something different. I wanted to avoid cunning and opportunist, considered Assassin but in the end I thought Bravado would be a good option becausei it isn't seen as much.

Since when did having 4 playable squad types constitute a bad thing?

That's three more than the Vong have now hahaha

Also disagree. There’s at least 3 playable Vong squad types.

Top OR squad type in my opinion right now is Army of Light.

........ What's the squad build?

This is the sickness:

--In the Army Now--
45 Valenthyne Farfalla
37 Satele Shan
32 Army of Light Jedi Lord
27 Army of Light Training Sergeant
15 Army of Light Consular
14 Old Republic Senator
8 Loth-cat x2
6 Mouse Droid x2
9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3
6 XT-6 Droid x2

Preferred Reinforcements:
(Farfalla) 20 Mirialan Jedi Knight

(199pts. 16 activations)

I don’t know if it’s the best AOL build, but it’s pretty strong. Deceptively long strikes.

The thing with AOL is you also have the option to build with Bastila or with Revan.

I’ve been looking at some Revan/Farfalla builds, and man can you get some movement going, with +20 damage most of the time. There are sick options.

I have played similar builds in the past and played against them. They are simply tier 1.5 or less. Range sucks. Ranged defense is moderate. Damage output is mediocre.....
And your most expensive piece is farfalla who is trash in a battle.
It simply does not work. Especially on own maps.

Farfalla is effectively a 24 point piece since he comes with 20pts Reinforcements. He's good for 24 points.

That said, I'm also not so sure it's Tier 1.

True, but you don't want him to be up front at the start anyway.

Sokan....
Not everyone who uses the battle field a time or two is a sokan practitioner.

Obi-wan has the most famous high ground scene ever. And it is questionable if he utilized Sokan as a general means. There is more proof for him and i believe he did.

Everyone does that. Everyone uses their surroundings. Batman does it "mind your surroundings"
Let's just throw it in on everyone and further hurt melee's chances of using their defensive abilities.
So that can get beat up from far away and in your face.

Sokan is just a crutch ability imo. Just like other crutch abilities. The pieces are fine i guess i just don't understand the desire for more unstoppable damage. I thought it was kind of understood that it is not tally fun to play against.

I'd add that Stryfe himself showed no particular affinity for using the terrain for a combat advantage in the comics as far as I remember, so I don't exactly know where the designers are coming from with Sokan and The High Ground. Unpreventable damage and Crushing Blow do fit him though, as his fighting style was focused on brute force. As mentioned on SHNN, he was the leader of the One Sith's military and in charge of hunting down surviving Jedi, so a commander effect would have been fitting.

Stifling Attack is already a thing as well. IF you are going to go unpreventable damage route. I still think that Brutal Strike would be just fine and at least that takes a force point.

Well crap and here we thought having a solid costing solid Sith piece was a good idea.

I like having solid Sith characters, I just think that this character could have been flavourful as well as solid. On a cool new Obi-Wan, The High Ground would make sense to me. On the two characters that have it in this set, not so much.

Why would i ever play him? His potential is only going to be met half the time.
Satele is 37 points.... Way better.
Atton jaq is 36 points.... Way better
Asajj Ventress nightsister is 35 points and is better

But most importantly what is the Sith build with him that makes him playable?
I mean... How many sets are there going to be without a power 9.5 piece that actually opens up a faction a bit?
Kelborn did it in the past four mandos.
Bastila did it for OR

Where is Sith's power piece that puts the faction in tier 1 territory? Where does he fit?

This is a power 8 piece that is solid (like you said) but it is not a good idea to just add more mediocrity to Sith.

I know people are trying to avoid massive npe's and be safe but c'mon we need power in sith. I would love to run 2 sith lords, some grunts, and tiny tech.

I am just sayin OR needs help and we get va Satele that should (right now) never see play over current Satele.
And Sith need help and we get a piece that doesn't help.

I see 50 on his own.
But everyone and their mother (sometimes literally) can do 60 on the move.
