Veers (3 versions)

Why is Veers listed twice?

Error. I will correct it. shmi15, I hope that didn't throw you off... Veers should only be given to one player.

Probably missed Chewie in AT-ST since it's not in the database yet. Vset4 not being in the database made the counting a bit less easy on my end, too.

I thought about Chewie AT-ST, but that's not before Endor. So he's allowed? (there are Ewoks in it)

Pretend the ewoks aren't there. Who's to say the Rebels only ever stole one AT-ST? BigGrin

It's a war of Empire vs Rebel, but all the pieces within the faction are legal. We have to twist canon quite a bit to make the story fit, though. No first Death Star, Galen Marek never does his part of the Jedi purge - instead he turns to the light right away. But Vader has a clone of him. Chewie stole an ATST somewhere else along the way. Jabba might even end up being one of the good guys in this war. And a whole slew of Imperial characters from the EU are just stand-ins for unnamed characters. All the Fels, for example.

Yeh, I talked to jak about this and he said "Stop applying reality to a sci-fi/fantasy game set in a different galaxy".

Just thinking should there be a retreat option? The ruled would be...
Must announce that they are retreating after initiative is determined. After 2 complete rounds, any unique characters on your team still alive would have retreated, allowing them to survive to the next round.
Also, if your opponent surrenders, do all of his uniques die?

This rule was added after the rules were initially posted. Please re-read the first post of this thread - there were a couple of other minor changes as well (mentioned in the discussion thread):

Individual Games

Players will play standard 200-point games with gambit and with a time limit. In-person games will have a 60-minute time limit. Vassal games will have a 90-minute time limit. Because the map is predetermined, players simply roll for setup. Winner either chooses side or defers. Epic characters are illegal in this format.

Retreat: A player may move a character off the battle grid. By doing so, the player forfeits the skirmish, and all other characters that the player left on the battle grid are defeated. The character that left the battle grid, however, is not defeated. This is a way to keep a Unique from being defeated, even in a loss.

What happens to your living uniques if your opponent wins by points?

If your opponent wins on points (either when time runs our or by reaching 200 points with gambit), any remaining Uniques escape to fight in another skirmish. Uniques may not be re-used if they are defeated, but if they are not defeated, they may be re-used (even if they lost the skirmish).

Reminder: If a Unique character with multiple versions is defeated, other versions may still be used later in the war. Assume they were picked up and spent time in a Bacta Tank.
