Real quick Bill, the only reason I jumped on this topic again was to respond to directly to Kenred2's post from Monday. Honestly I thought this conversation died a few weeks ago?

That would imply that we bought tickets and we actually know where we're heading!

I was under the impression, as I believe Mickey was from his original post in the other thread, that you were the head of the rules advisory committee made up of volunteers that formed this summer on the WOTC forums? Is that still how it works, or did the RAC not work out so well? I found an old link to the RAC website, and it didn't look like it was used much. If, or really if that's not the case, how does one go about suggesting a rule change other than just PM'ing you or a member of the RAC? Is there and "official" request form or something BigGrin, or do the suggestions come about more from the conversations you and others have on the forums, in person, or stuff you just read over in the rules forums? Anyway, this is way off topic, if you want to answer in another thread that would be great, if not I understand. Thanks.

All of this was already explained several times on this site, but I will do it again for your benefit here, just remember, I will point this out should anyone claim it hasn't been posted yet again.

The RAC has nothing to do with the rules. It was formed as a TO support, and in particular is something to have in place for the day WotC stops supporting the game altogether. We are not doing much right now, but that will change down the road. It has been stated several times on this forum, on WotC and on that site that they are not responsible for rule changes.

What they do is discuss issues being faced and make suggestions, but they are not particularly listened to in any official fashion more than anyone else.

Right now, the best way to make a rule suggestion is to enter the threads that discuss them. That is where Dean goes primarily to see what is being talked about. Then when he comes across something he thinks worth considering, he will discuss it with anyone that wants to talk about it. He talks on Skype, on the SHNN, on Gamers, on Vassal, on his cell phone, at Gencon, at Regionals, and at any other dci event he attends. He also will take PMs, emails, etc. In total he generally talks to about 100+ people when considering a rule change.

Anyone has equal access to Dean if they are a member at either Gamers, Bloomilk (I am not positive he will continue to use this site in the future), and WotC. That's how it happens.

So for example, when you see a thread, like the current one being run on WotC and Gamers by Nickname talking about map lists, you should pay attention and post in it if you have an opinion you wanted noted. That's where Dean goes for the information.

When you see threads like my annual post-Gencon thread, you should post in it. Heck, start your own thread about any rule topic you want, Dean will read it and consider it. That's how he has been doing this incredibly difficult job for the past two years.

As did I Chuck, I was surprised to see it back :) Anyways, hope my last post helped. I don't remember, but I know I posted it here before. It may have been one that I deleted because of harassment. I can't remember for sure, and I can't look at the thread to check since it's in the mods forum :) Not that I want it back here, however :)

Why do people take this game waaaay to seriously???!?!??!?!
Really just chill, take a deep breath and calm down. Just like Juiceman said, its just a game. Has nothing really to do with life at all. I'm getting tired of the "he rated my squad a 1!" or "I dont like your opinion, so im gonna pout about it!" really just chill.
If you dont like the way people are acting just ask them nicely to stop and if they countinue to be jerks then just drop it. Is this really worth wasting your time(That should be spent with family and relatives because its Christmas time!!! woot)
Is it?
It really is sad at what this site has come to Sad BlooMilk

As to Uggie's point, please, relax. The reminder of a proper perspective is not needed. Many of us are perfectly fine in understanding where SWMs stands in level of importance. What I want to know, is where you get off telling anyone that they are "pouting" about anything. I am going to do what you suggested. I am asking you nicely not to post that kind of stuff anymore. You need to chill, not me.

This was never about not liking someone's opinion. This is about what is true, and what is not.

As to the idea that the person being attacked should just "drop it", well I will respectfully disagree with you here. I am not the cause of turning this place into a nightmare. Just dropping it doesn't work. I did so a month ago, and what did I get for my time? Harassment from multiple members of this site through PMs, on Gamers and so on. I left if alone, and the trolls used that opening to try to get me in other ways. So no, I am not going to do that further.

If you want the problems on this site to stop, then complain to the mods. I imagine you can figure out what the problems are related to. Don't tell the people who are being harassed, insulted, lies being told about that they simply need to "drop it". The mods have a choice on their hands, and they have so far chosen poorly. Deal with them.

Or do you prefer to tell victims of crime that they simply need to "drop it" as well? Its the same thing here. This site as it currently functions has become a very negative part of the SWMs community. And as someone who has spent a lot of time building that up, I am not going to let that go lightly. Please take that into consideration. We tried just ignoring it, and it got worse. So do you really want us to do that again? We aren't the problem around here.

You may think this is about what's true Bill but it's not. Uggie is right, all these arguments started because of minis. (which is why I'm quitting, found a great game called Dawn Patrol) And you can't compare this to a crimnal felony, this is a game and the rules that go with it that we're talking about.
Dnemiller may contribute alot to the community but in the end he's just another player. Uggie is right we should all just drop this and enjoy our Christmas.

Yes, the better way to handle it is to harass people in PMs, swear repeatedly at them, threaten to beat them up, go to other forums and get yourself banned because you can't follow the rules, get every thread you can locked on here, lie about those you "don't get along with" and tell everyone else that everything wrong is their fault. That's the Mandalore way.

No thanks, I don't need any advice from you, you have lost the right to offer it.

I take it you are willing to have people harass you in PMs, tell lies about you, incite others to do the same, and so on then?

And this Bill, is a perfect example why people cant get along.
you cant be told anything, especially if it comes down to the last Climactic word.
I accused you.
you gave the mods yer P word.
the 3 1s that i had.....dissappeared before that even happened.
you can call that harrasment all you want, but people get called out on their BS all of the time, and you Sir, are no exception to this.
I asked for the both of you to stop name dropping, because i am trying to do the same.
sorry if you want to further this debate for entertainment, but on this side of the fence, Im done. i proved my point and continue to do so everytime you lash out at me.

So here it is.....my peace offering to the both of you.
and this is not an apology, nor is this advice.

No Bloo Milk No Bloo Milk No Bloo Milk A BIG WHITE FLAGNo Bloo Milk No Bloo Milk No Bloo Milk
accept it if you want.
burn it if you want, i dont care.
But leave my name off of yer finger tips when you type, it doesnt belong there anymore.
