When you build a team, where do you start?

Do you take one piece and build around it?

Or do you take a SA, CE, or FP and think about the things that would make it better?

My problem has been trying to load too many things into a squad at once, or trying to account for everything and then not being particularly strong in any department.

There are two ways you can take a squad. 1. You can take one piece and build a squad that will support that piece. 2. you can take a bunch of smaller pieces and boost them. The one area people mess up is spending to many points on support and then not having any points left. What are you trying to build?

I don't really have anything specific I'm working on right now. Although if you wanted could take a look at some of my squads and give some input, that would be awesome.

When you say that people spend too much on support and then don't have enough points left, what do you mean? That they don't have enough "beef" on the squad. Or that they leave off door control?

Thanks for the help.

As in they have alot of CEs for 1 big piece, and if the big piece goes down they have no one left that can do anything.

I'll check out your squads.ThumpUp Do you have any specific squads I should look at?

Got it. As far as squads go, I guess if you could look at my lower rated ones that don't have any comments, that would be helpful. Thanks.

Cecil Poppycock- You could also read the articles in the "That's Game" section (if you have not already) to help your squad building ideas.

Thanks for looking at a few of my squads. When i make squads i only use figs i have, so a lot of your suggestions are good but i cant do them because i dont have the figs you suggest to use. If you could look at my collection and suggest switches that i could make that would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Don't take the 1's personally. List your squads here. Take the feedback more than the rating. Unless you are gunning for a championship at GenCon or other such conventions, the feedback is what's important. Also remember that feedback is optional so unless the person leaving feedback is also telling you their ranking, then take it with a grain of salt. Anyone can leave a 1 but only people who care will leave feedback. Also remember there are THOUSANDS of squads here and more that aren't made public, so feedback may be scarce. If you want to get a fair critique, leave a link or post the squad on the board, that will garner some attention. BlooMilk is a community but it is also a resource. As Kurt Vannegurt once said "Accept the compliments and ignore the criticisms. If you can learn this, teach me how." :)
