Special Abilities

  • Unique

  • Master (At the start of the skirmish, choose a Unique allied character with a Force rating. That character may spend this character's Force points as if they were its own.)

0 Attack Yoda with no lightsaber...and in the Republic? Bold. The SAs look good, though without a saber the inclusion of Defender is somewhat questionable. Force Shield is cool to see again. Levi 6 feels a bit out of place. A level 6 Force power on a non-epic piece, let alone a piece with a cost of only 50 feels over-the-top.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I was trying to build a very tech-like Yoda who is more of a peaceful wise protector who lives out his saying here rather then the combat master we know be can be. And saber1, defender to me was more Yoda either using a light saber to protect, or lifting up objects to stop the attack or just being Yoda and pulling someone out of the way.

Levitation was for the X-wing Dagobah scene as much as for the many clone wars cartoon episodes where he lifts up massive vehicles/transports. I also liked that it was costly so you had to choose if you are going to use him as a battery, movement breaker or to cancel dark side forced users. Do you think a bump in cost is appropriate?

A better Republic/Rebel version of The Father. You must have really enjoyed that regional squad of yours. I think Defender without a lightsaber is a little weird to me, but that's not the point. Force batteries are always a welcome addition. I could think of a pile of ways to use him, but I'm personally too insecure to play with a piece this high costed with no damage capability. You've mastered it as proven by your regional win with the Father. congrats by the way =)

Should "Master" be a unique allied character with a force rating? 50 pts. seems good for what he can do: Defender, Levitation 6, Force Defense, Turn to the Light Side, Master. Little guy will be too busy to actually attack. And with Force Shield he'll stick around a long time as well.

Thanks Donny, I admit I was partially inspired by the Father for this guy as Yoda to me is that force powerhouse and an almost ageless mysterious being. I figured that the Father was overcosted due to his ability to combine any two other characters so used that as a base for the cost. Considered upping his cost as well. And true Juice but unfortunately the challenge was no CE so had to abide by that haha. And I was going off of dark master precident Juice but easy enough change to your suggestion as the intent was to boost up Luke and other Jedi

hmm why melee if no attack? Master is awesome. Master of the force 3 with defender and 3 renewal is quite impressive with defender. But no damage.. hard to cost. I think it might be able to cost around 44. I guess it is not considered to have a lightsaber, so no help form Cin Drallig if it was costed that low

haha thats awesome. Can he still get Momentum from Skywalker? I guess this way he will not have a lightsaber per se so no help from yaddle or cin drallig either

I think I like this guy as-is: he can be a lot more focused than the Father because you only have to worry about two factions. And, I don't think this is broken, but I would totally run this guy with the awesome Qui-Gon and Captain Tarpals - double Force Push 4 gonna take you down!

With tarpals he could Levitate twice on a turn, though at the most he would probably only be able to do that once in a game. He's going to be force starved but I like Force Shield and Levitation 6 on him. Nice piece!

Thanks guys, and technically he can't get momentum or Oppurtunist because he has a 0 damage rating and that can't be boosted up. And melee is just following precedent for other 0 damage characters.
