The Squad Builder has been revamped. It should now be fast enough to build a squad in less than 12 parsecs...or something.

Also, there have been a lot of miscellaneous little changes, bug fixes, and speed improvements throughout the site.

Today's update should hopefully have fixed a few bugs. I also updated some of the pages to look and function better (most notably the Bloo Mail inbox should be way cooler now).

There's also a new Article by dvryan that is an introduction to SWM.

Another update is live.

Changed pages:
-The Squad Search page has been redone. Let me know what you think about the new way to select Characters on that page. Is that something you'd like to see on other pages?
-The Article Details page has also been redone, although it looks and functions pretty much the same.

Fixed bugs:
-The Squad Search page was erroring out unless you specified a specific member's squads (by clicking the link on their profile page). This is fixed now.
-Some pages with the Character Detail pop-in section were having issues displaying the character detail (like the Character Search page). These pages have either been fixed so the pop-in works, or the links have been changed to redirect to the Character Detail page instead of popping in the details on the current page. The links to the Character Details page are temporary--eventually I'll get quick-loading javascript tooltip thing, so you can stay on the current page, but still see the details in a timely fashion.
-Fixed the Password Recovery page so it actually sends out the password recovery e-mail.
-The drop downs on the Special Ability and Force Power pages in the Glossary section should now work in every browser.
-You should be able to delete your Squads again now.

Help Wanted:
-I have help lined up for getting price and year/era information for the character database. Thanks to everyone who volunteered.
-Still need new Articles.

Sorry it's been so long since the last update. Here's what's new:

New content:
-I think there are finally pictures for every single miniature in the Character Browser now.
-The Synergy options have been updated to include Masters of the Force characters. If you see any errors (and I know there are some) in the synergy stuff, let me know so I can fix it.

Changed pages:
-The Character Browser has been completely redone. It should be much faster now. Also, it will load up a random character when you first start, instead of always showing the first character from the most recent set (i.e. Cay Qel-Droma).
-I removed the Trades By Character page, because it wasn't very popular or very useful. Also, the character drop down filters on the Trades By User page can serve much the same purpose.

Fixed Bugs:
-Trades page should be accessible for all members now.
-I fixed a number of bugs in the new member registration. I had inadvertantly deployed a very incomplete version of the Register page a few updates ago, and it's led to some problems for people. Now that a working system is in place, I'll go back and try to fix any corrupt records in the database from the bad system.

FAQs:
-Bloo Milk will continue to run, regardless of the state of the license with Wizards of the Coast, or whoever ends up with it.
-I've been getting a lot of questions about adding your own Custom Characters to the site. Unfortunately, that is not yet possible. The ones in the Customs section were entries in the Bloo Milk Customs Contest in January, and I added them all myself. And I would rather spend my time working on the site, then inputing new Customs right now. Adding a Custom Character Builder is very high on my priority list. Once I finish this round of revamps (in particular, the Squad Builder needs some serious attention), I'll get the Customs section up and running.

Help Wanted:
-Bloo Milk needs new Articles. Anyone is welcome to submit an article on any topic related to SWM. In particular, I'd like to have an article for brand-new players or people who aren't players yet. Something I can direct my friends and family to if they want more information about the game and would possibly like to start playing. You are also free to contribute to the Outside the Box series if you want. Just e-mail me.
-I'd like to get the Years updated for all the characters. I only added information up through the Clone Wars set. Having this information would allow the "Restrict By Era" option in the squad builder actually be useful (which could lead to some cool tournament ideas). So I need someone with a pretty good knowledge of Star Wars and the EU in particular, who is willing to spend a lot of time on Wookieepedia researching the years a given character was active.
-The previous system for determining character prices hasn't aged well. TCG Player stopped updating their stock a few sets ago. If anyone has an idea for a way to get dynamic prices, I'm interested. Any vendors out there willing to make a deal with me? I'd also be interested in someone taking the time to survey current prices for all the characters, just to get a snapshot of where they are now.
-I'm looking to perfect the information in the Bloo Milk character database. If you find an error, no matter how small (for instance, the wording is wrong for a special ability), please let me know so I can fix it.
