Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
  • Soresu Style (When hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)

Force Powers

  • Force 2
  • Force Renewal 1 (This character gets 1 Force point each time he activates)
  • Jedi Mind Trick 3 (Force 3, usable only on this character's turn: range 6; target living enemy and each living enemy adjacent to that target are considered activated this round and cannot make attacks of opportunity this turn; save 16)
  • Force Heal 20 (Force 2, replaces attacks: touch; remove 20 damage from a living character)
  • Force Spirit 6 (If this character is defeated, immediately add 6 Force points to an ally with a Force rating; that ally can spend Force points 1 extra time per turn for the rest of the skirmish)

Considered by most to just be a crazy old man, General Obi-wan Kenobi was still strong in both the Force and lightsaber combat when he rescued Luke from the Tusken raiders.

It could be more aggressively costed, I think. Compared to Obi, Unleashed, he is 5 points cheaper, trades offense (FP2, FR3) for defense (Soresu Style, JMT 3), and drops from Attack 15 to 13 and from Force Spirit 8 to 6. Based on that, I think he is costed on standard about how Obi Unleashed is. But Obi Unleashed is not part of the current meta, so I think this one could be cheaper and it would be okay. Keep in mind that Soresu Style basically *is* Evade, which he can get from Rieekan anyway, so I wouldn't put too much value on it when computing his cost.

To make him stand out from Unleashed, how about some ability that "scares off" characters a la the Krayt Dragon Yell he performed to scare off the Tuskens. Krayt Dragon Yell - Force 1, range 6; replaces attacks: target non unique enemy or enemy with Savage must move it's speed away from this character, save 11. Each non unique enemy or enemy with Savage adjacent to the target must move it's speed away from this character, save 6.

Also, was this Obi watching Luke on the Mediterranean Sea or Tatooine?

=) nice catch there. I am trying to stay mostly with force powers that have already been used otherwise your Yell would be excellent. I gave him JMT 3 to incorporate the scene of him scaring the Tuskans and of mind tricking the squad of Stormtroopers because I felt that it would show how effective Kenobi was at manipulating others. In terms of cost I am glad that I can lower it a bit. I actually did use Unleashed to guide the pricing. Edited: Cost changed from 39 to 35 Flavor text changed from Tuscan to Tusken
