Allied characters that count as Owen Lars or Luke Skywalker within 6 squares ignore abilities that suppress commander effects. They are subject to commander effects (even if the ability that suppresses commander effects is affecting the commander instead of Luke or Owen directly). Similarly, if they have a commander effect, it is in effect (even if the ability that suppresses commander effects is affecting an ally instead of Luke or Owen directly).
