are there like private forums?

i was looking at some forums, but when i tried to look at one it said "access denied. You tried to enter a area where you didnt have access." it only happened on some and not all, so i was wondering if it's a glitch, or a feature where you can make forums private or what.

The Moderators forum is only accessible by moderators. We don't post in it very much, though.
