Add 10 pts, and remove "Darth".

"Darth was a title that preceded the moniker of a Sith Lord. Predating the history of the Rule of Two, it was used by ancient Sith such as Darth Atrius, Darth Caldoth, and Darth Noctyss. The Darth title was preserved through Darth Bane's reforms, spawning a thousand-year lineage that included Darth Zannah, Darth Tenebrous, and Darth Plagueis. Darth Sidious was the culmination of generations of Sith leading to the rise of the Galactic Empire. As a Sith Master, Sidious bestowed the title of Darth on his three successive Sith apprentices: Darth Maul, Darth Tyranus, and Darth Vader."

"Tulak Hord, known as the Lord of Hate and Master of the Gathering Darkness, was a Dark Lord of the Sith that ruled during the early Sith Empire, commanding great armies and possessing a mastery of the dark side of the Force and lightsaber combat which left him nearly unrivaled. During battle, Hord wore a black mask, making him a fear-inspiring sight."

"Darth"

"The strongest Sith Lords ascend to the position of Darth. Many take a new name at this point, symbolically embracing their transformation into something greater."
―In-game Codex (Sith Titles)[src]
The title of Darth is a prestigious honour granted to only the most powerful and deserving Sith of the Empire. An increasingly minute quantity of Sith outside the Dark Council possess this honorable title."

In my research, I found no mention of Tulak Hord, ever being bestowed the title of "Darth" from anyone, or ever calling himself, "Darth" or proclaiming himself with "Darth" in his name/title.

Again, in accordance with my research above, in the interest of "Making things correct" in the SWM universe, I implore the BC to remove "Darth", from Tulak Hord's Special Abilities. ThumpUp

Missing Darth Andeddu and Darth Karrid! lol

I think that after the sith (tulok and nexus) that everything else should kinda stay about where it is to see where it actually shakes out.

Some of the pieces that have been mentioned have created really good squads, some have created some NPEs for some players, but I think the overall balance of the game could be quite interesting.

I don't think there is an issue with a really good (or even awesome) squad as long as it isn't uber dominant over the rest of the meta (think daala in her heyday or I suppose tulok this year).

For the most part I would like to see how the meta adjusts before making a ton of changes. You never know what a change or two will do as no one can really predict what players will do. For instance I didn't really think tulok was that big of an issue, but was obviously prove wrong by everyone playing him and posting great results.

I think Vaklu should be looked at too. Giving Stifling Attack to a rock is bad news. Maybe it should be a lower cost ally?

To back up and add to this comment.

Darth was not used in Tulok's era, much like Naga Sadow and Marka Ragnos. Even before Darth Bane, the Brotherhood of Darkness rejected the title.
It simply doesn't fit thematically and should be removed, IMO

10 pts may not be enough, but maybe it is? I am in the minority here, probably, but I am NOT for removing or changing the function of pieces already made. So I would like to see a price increase for Tulok. How to figure that...

Tulok has, what I like to call, an AND factor. It is that he has A or B abilities, but that he has A AND B abilities. I think in most situations, Tulok is ok in a vacuum. My issue is who he can be paired with.

There are a couple of squads that made the almost unplayable Imperial Agent Tier 1. Tulok is one of them. Tulok, unfortunately also pairs very well with Cognus (who in a vacuum is better than Tulok IMO)

I would suggest the increase makes it so that Tulok can only play with one, not both.

P.S. I'm a Cognus player and I think she should get a price increase as well

I haven't been playing recently, obviously. The errata is at least part of the reason. It gets too confusing.

* We should favor no change where possible. Power creep will take care of most issues over time anyway.
* When a change is absolutely needed, strongly favor a cost increase and nothing else. That way the pieces still play on the board exactly as they always did before.
* If abilities must be changed, change abilities like Rapport, Affinity, and identifiers. Avoid adding or removing or changing abilities, in order that as much as possible pieces play just as they did before

Tulak is the first time in a long time (probably since Jabba) that I think any piece needs a change at all. I'd vote to raise his cost and change nothing else about anything else.

If you're not removing "Darth", then his cost should be 60 pts, imho.
