Does "Overwhelming Force" have no effect on characters with "Dun Moch Style Mastery?

I thought because the "Overwhelming Force" character is casting it on himself and not specifically targeting the character with "Dun Moch Style Mastery", that it is still effective? " Overwhelming Force" is not specifically targeting the enemy. I believe that Force Powers that directly attack a character are, for example, "Force Lightning", "Force Push", "Force Blast", "Force Choke", etc.

"Dun Moch Style Mastery"

On this character's turn, adjacent enemies get -4 to saves and cannot use special abilities or Force powers to attack him.

"Overwhelming Force" is not enabling the character to attack the character with "DMSM". Either way, the character can still be attacked with it or not. The issue in this case is, can the character with "DMST", still activate Force Powers such as "Lightsaber Defense", "Absorb Energy Mastery", "Lightsaber Block", "Lightsaber Riposte", "Lightsaber Protection 1 & 2", etc. "

Force Power

Overwhelming Force

Force 1: This character's attacks cannot be prevented or redirected this turn

Glossary Text

(Force; 1 Force point) When this character uses this Force power, its attacks (or damage from its attacks) cannot be prevented or redirected this turn. Enemies cannot use abilities such as Parry or Lightsaber Block to avoid damage, Damage Reduction has no effect, and abilities such as Draw Fire or Bodyguard cannot force this character to attack or deal damage to a different character. Likewise, abilities that reflect damage back to the attacker have no effect against this character’s attacks. Overwhelming Force does not affect damage from effects that are not attacks, such as Force Lightning. This Force power works even when this character is making an attack of opportunity.

I told you several times during the game that Dun Moch was not the ability I used to avoid those hits. Bane's [Irrepressible Force] means his Force Powers cannot be cancelled.
Glossary text:
Abilities that cancel the activation of Force Powers (such as Force Defense) have no effect against characters with this ability.
I interpreted this as Overwhelming Force preventing me from LSdefencing, and therefore Irrepressible Force comes into play.

"Special Ability

Irrepressible Force

This character’s Force powers cannot be cancelled

Abilities that cancel the activation of Force Powers (such as Force Defense) have no effect against characters with this ability."

I believe that "Overwhelming Force" isn't directly canceling the special ability "Irrepressible Force", or canceling the Force Power wanting to be used, such as "Force Defense". I interpret that the Force Power "Lightsaber Defense" is ineffective against "Overwhelming Force" with a character with "Irepressible Force", because it is not directly "canceling" the Force Power. "Overwhelming Force" is activated on the character that is using it, affecting itself. It is not directly canceling the "Force Defense" force power. "Overwhelming Force" is just saying that characters can't respond to the character using "Overwhelming Force", imho. Is there a discussion somewhere on the boards, that specifically talks about these types of interactions? I am sure that it has come up in discussion before?

I am by no means a "rules guru", by any stretch of the imagination. I will of course agree with whatever explanation that Gandalf, Flying Arrow, or Swinefeld, etc. rule on ThumpUp

Irrepressible Force only applies to Force Defense and Force Absorb. It doesn't affect anything else.

The only relevant interaction between Overwhelming Force and Dun Moch Style Mastery is that you could e.g. use OF and Djem So Style together to attack the character with DMSM on its turn.
