I don't know if it will do any good, but I tracked Shinja down on LinkedIn and asked him nicely if he'd turn over control to people who continue to use his wonderful creation. We'll see.

Great! I hope he's agreeable to that.
I've played around on the GM site and I like it. It has some useful features that BM doesn't have (there's a handy Search feature on the main page that you can then use to immediately search for characters or abilities, etc). If we ever get access to edit the BM code then perhaps we could ask NoffyD to do some of the things here that he's been doing on GM.
But if not, then (at least at this point) I'd personally be rather open to the idea of moving the whole operation over to GM when it's ready.
