Okay here I go, to list who I feel are the greatest 4 players to ever play SWM, a "Mount Rushmore", in a sense, since its inception back in 2004, where at one point there were 90+, in the field, at the 2008 GenCon Indy 150pt Championship, where I had my best showing ever, making the cut of top 8, losing in the first round of the playoff bracket, but what an experience, and an incredible feeling of competing in the game I love, with so many passionate, and skilled SWM players.

My list is going to be based on World Champs primarily, so I am not including regional wins, Jedi Challenges, full weekend GenCon and VassalCon champion cumulative pts challenges, etc. Just strictly GenCon and VassalCon winners. I do realize that there are some world class players in New Zealand ( Gandalf, etc. Wink ), and with many impressive comps showings and consistent level of excellence in tourneys, and with 1 world championship to his credit, "We Will Watch his Career With Great Interest". Without further ado, here is my humble opinion on the 4 best SWM's players of all time, since the inception of SWM, back in 2004; ( In the order of greatest, 1 being best, 2 second best, and so on.....)

1. Tint

With the most SWM championships under his belt ( 4 ), Tint is the clear cut top SWM's player of all time, as of right now. His longevity, insight, skilled precision, calculating and Cunning play, and overall brilliance is impressive, most impressive. His squad building and creativity and meta-busting squads, are just priceless. I also want to give him partial credit for the champs, in one year, where he was the architect for a squad that won, which he designed, however another player played to an exceptional win ( so, perhaps a 1/2 victory, but probably I will list as an honorable mention here at this time )

Here is the breakdown of his wins;

2012 GenCon 200pt Champ ( Republic ) "This Party's Over", was his first.

2014 GenCon Honorable Mention- as the architect to Weeks squad, "Movin' Mandos".

2016 GenCon 200pt Champ ( Rebels ) "Prison Break", his 2nd.

2020 GenCon 200pt Champ ( Mandos ) "Jangalorn", his 3rd.

2024 GenCon 200pt Champ ( Sith ) "Presence of the Hord", his 4th.

What I love about his championship wins, is that he never had to use the same squad to win. He constantly challenges himself to be great, and to play something fresh and new. So he has 4 victories with 4 different factions! Truly an incredible accomplishment, one that no one else is close to, and worthy of the distinction of top player of all time!

2. Randy

With the 2nd most World Champ wins under his belt ( 3 ), I have to recognize his awesome accomplishments and his incredible match play. With so many creative and clever squads in many factions, he has flourished and been dominant as one of the best Sith players of all time, if not the best, which I will crown him at this time.

Here is a breakdown of his wins;

2022 GenCon 200pt Champ ( Sith ) "Sith Triumvirate", was his 1st.

2023 VassalCon 200pt Champ ( Sith ) "Sith Triumvirate", his 2nd.

2025 VassalCon 200pt Champ ( Sith ) "Star Forge, Nothing but Star Forge", his 3rd.

All of his wins have been with the Sith faction, but I've seen him perform exceedingly well with other factions in various tournaments over the years, but when push comes to shove, the Dark Side of the Force comes out of him, and he punishes his opponents with it to their demises. Randy is well deserving of the 2nd spot on the SWM's "Mount Rushmore".

3. Billiv

What can I say about the "Godfather of SWM". ( Sorry Moses Wink ). He could easily be in the 1 or 2 slot on my SWM GOAT list, but I guess why I put him in 3rd is the longevity factor. But I know this for sure; If he had continued playing SWM, to this very day, he'd probably have 4 or 5 champs in his pocket, at least. He comes in with ( 2 ) world championships to his credit. With him strolling down the aisle to face another weary, ready to be beat SWM's opponent, wearing his patented t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops at GenCon, his cool, calm, determined demeanor, and workman, blue collar type of work ethic, he always struck fear at the SWM's table to whoever faced him, and they new that they were in for a long day playing against him. Billiv was my nemesis, and I could never beat him in organized, sanctioned, SWM DCI play. He usually always crushed me, and many others who came in his path. I played him in the 2006, Saturday, 150pt championship, and it was pretty close at the end, but he took out my Vader, right before I could take his out, and that was the game, giving him his first championship. His patented "Skybuck" squad, is a SWM iconic squad, that he played masterfully and won countless SWM matches with. It has been played and played and played by many great players of the game of all time, and many have won with it or with squads very similar to it. He was a master of SWM, and incredidibly talented and skilled SWM player, and worthy of being in the 3rd spot of the SWM's "Mount Rushmore".

Here is a breakdown of his wins;

2006 GenCon Champ ( Imperial ) "Black and Blue Classic" = The truly OG SWM squad! = His 1st win.

2008 GenCon 150pt Champ ( Rebels ) "Speedy Cannon", his 2nd.

4. Urbanjedi

Where to begin with this guy, right? Wow! Such an incredble competitor, a gentleman, so to speak, but a calculating, skilled, and cunning SWM's player. His gameplay is exceptional and he is fierce on the SWM maps with the powerful squads that he plays with grace, dignity, and with masterful execution. With ( 2 ) world championships to his credit, in which I'm sure he'd be the first to give his one and only other half credit for creating ( Urbanshmi ), but he executed the excellence of the mighty power of the squad, to sheer perfection and flawlessness.

Here is a breakdown of his wins;

2023 GenCon 200pt Champ ( Mandos ) "Io Triumphe!", his 1st.

2024 VassalCon 200pt Champ ( Mandos ) "Io Triumphe!", his 2nd.

With his continued skilled play at one of the highest level that SWM's has ever seen, the sky is the limit with this incredible player, that it would not surprise me the least, if he has a few more world championships in the future, up his sleeve!

Well there you have it. This is DarthMaim's GOAT list of SWM players to have ever played this game to date. Who knows if this will change in the future in a few of the spots, of perhaps all of them. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see Tint, win again, and could he again challenge himself, and blow the minds of us all, and win a 5th, with a totally different faction??????? With how good a player he is, and being the GOAT SWM player of all time, I would not bet against him, because he was trained by the Greatest Jedi Master of all time, who taught him;

"Do. Or do not. There is no try." With Yoda on his side, I don't see anyone dethroning him, anytime soon, in our beloved game......................Wink ThumbsUp BlooMilk
