This is the official thread for the February 2026 League Event. There is one round left in the January double hitter. That event will officially end Thursday February 12th. This event will begin on... FRIDAY THE 13TH!... Are you afraid? Embrace that Fear. It will make you powerful! To sign up Send me a squad sheet. Feel free to send whenever you want. I won't read any of the bloomails until I set up the software. Someone will know my squad no later than Saturday. Don't send me a map. If you win map roll you can take any map from the list, but you can only play on that map once. Quote:Format: 200 point standard Long Format tournament
Duration: 3 rounds / no cut (Roughly 1 round per week)
Time Limit: 75 minutes
Pairings will be random-ish. Quote:Map List: Gangster's Vault Warriors' Enclave Cloud City Frigid Outpost Jungle Tomb Special rules for this event.Quote: Admiral Daala is legal
Advanced Battle Meditation The complex version. (Force 3, replaces turn: Choose one of the following; (Until the start of this character's next turn, this character gains the following Force ability: Allies get +10 Damage or enemy commander effects are suppressed.) or (Until the end of the round, this character gains the following Force ability: Allies get +10 Damage and enemy commander effects are suppressed.)
Dark Force Nexus will cost 20 points.
The Dark Nexus special ability will only work with characters whose name contains Darth. (Set up on your half of the battle map at least 5 squares from the center. Cannot gain Force points. Whenever this character activates remove 1 Force point from it. You may then add 1 Force point to 1 ally whose name contains Darth within 6 squares. Darth allies within 6 squares can spend their own Force points once per turn and spend Force points from this character once per turn. When this character has no Force points or no Darth allies, it is immediately defeated. No more than 1 character with Dark Nexus per squad.)
Easy Path (Force 1, replaces attacks: Move 1 ally with a Force rating and Melee Attack within 6 squares up to 6 squares. That character then takes 10 Damage and loses a Force Point, save 11.)
Identical Forces can only be used on a character once per round. If a character has moved due to Identical Forces in a round, it cannot be targeted by it again until the next round.
Tulak Horde will not count as a Darth for any reason.

urbanjedi def spry 232-60
I won map and chose Frigid Outpost (so no firgid outpost for spry or I the rest of the tourney)
I kept control of gambit the whole game with plagieus holocron and nexus.
Rd 1 was just positioning.
Rd 2 was more positioning.
Rd 3 I pushed up plagieus to do a nice lightning to get R2 a mouse and some damage to a couple of his guys. After that we had a big battle just outside the main room (outside of range of the nexus. He killed cognus with a herioc stand I took out Boss and Sev.
Rd 4 Plaguies absorbed a crit from gree, and a lost init into round 5 doomed Alpha. Wyrlock hit and killed Gree in one round, and then finished off Fi in the final round.
Rd 5 was just some cleanup.
Overall, my saves were a little above average, but I made 3 very important absorb energy saves keeping plagieus well out of harms way. Most of our attacks hit as I needed mostly 4s and for most of the game spry needed even less with traps, synergy, prideful, squad assault.
It is about the outcome we both expected as Plagieus can be such a tank against shooters.

thereisnotry defeats gandalfthegreatestwizard 210-122 (3-1) on FRIGID OUTPOST
I won the map roll and wanted to restrict Joe's avenues of approach, so I chose the Frigid Outpost. He set up his guys on the right side, so I set up in the middle of the left side, as per usual for this map. Joe's squad was designed to eat force users and commanders for breakfast, but fortunately for me, my squad had no force users and only one commander.
Round 1: All positioning. I blasted the door at the south end of my corridor, and Joe congregated his guys in 2 locations: near the little room just outside the gambit room, and near the south-east corner of the main building. No gambit. 0-0.
Round 2: I used Thorium Charge to safely blast the door on the south end of gambit. I swapped both IG-88 Assassin Droid and IG-88 Bounty Hunter so that they were ready to charge into the main room. Joe continued to patiently advance and position his guys. Then my IG-AD ran in and used Pulse Cannon to kill a 332nd and a 501st. BH followed him in, so that the two of them were close to each other and ready to unleash the pain next round. RexSoka re-opened the door that those troopers were holding. I advanced T3 and my baby-IG toward the gambit room, locking the door that was near them. Now that I was all out, Joe opened the door I had locked and charged his forces toward guys on the south end of gambit. After some shots and an Anakin charge, my baby-IG was dead. Gambit for me. 28-17 for me.
Round 3: I won init, so T3 double-Flamed Anakin (down to 70hp), Targeted him, and moved away, locking the door that he and R2 had been dueling over. RexSoka moved up and double-Twin Blaster'd IG-88BH (down to 20hp). Anakin then charged through the room and attacked my healthy IG-88 Assassin Droid with Cunning Attack, doing 50dmg after Shields. I moved a mouse into the room so that my guys could get the Twin CE. BH then shot Anakin with a hit and a crit, which allowed the Double to go into RexSoka...bad idea! Hit-Shien, Hit-Shien...10dmg to me! I then Flame'd RexSoka, who summarily Counterpushed my BH to death. Nasty. Tarkin shot at AD, but missed. An uggie blasted the door near RexSoka and Tarkin. IG-AD saw RexSoka standing there with no cover, needing 2s to hit. Obviously the best move is to attack, right? Nope! 4 hits, and 4 Shiens (6 successful Shien saves in a row so far), and AD took 10dmg after that exchange. I then used Pulse Cannon to at least do 10dmg to RexSoka and also Tarkin, while killing the ug. No problem, the Shien saves can't go on forever, can they? Can...they??? IG-88A (my sole commander) came out to shoot RexSoka needing 7s, but missed both. IG-88B moved up and swapped with AD so that AD would be in a slightly safer position. Ineffective shots at T3 because he's a boss (but not a commander). After I was out, some troopers blasted my flying Prowler droid, but I didn't care. Then the Legion Clone Commander shot my Mouse and I cared a bit more. Gambit for both. 76-66 for Joe.
Round 4: Joe won init, so RexSoka moved up (closing the door in the north of gambit)and slammed IG-88A four times, and I only made a single Shield save, so he lived at 10hp. I responded by charging T3 forward to Flame four targets ('cuz he's a BOSS), and open the door that RexSoka had allowed to close. IG-88B then moved up to kill Tarkin with Cunning, because I didn't want to have to deal with Tarkin's Cunning Attack CE anymore...then swapped with AD, who was now in a good position to attack an activated RexSoka. However, Joe made an excellent move with R2 to tow a 332nd trooper around the top to lock that door again, and kill IG-88A. My AD then moved to Pulse Cannon twice, killing the Legion Clone Commander and a trooper. Another trooper put some plink damage onto IG-88B. Gambit for me. 130-122 for me.
Round 5: I won this init, but I let Joe go first since I didn't have any good targets and I needed someone to open the door before I could attack RexSoka. The trooper shot at IG-88B again, to no effect. B then moved up to blast the door and shoot RexSoka with Cunning...again I couldn't get past the Shien saves: 7/7 by now...that's 210 damage prevented! T3 then flamed RexSoka (like a Boss), and they CounterPushed IG-B for 10dmg after Shields. RexSoka then ran in and smacked B a few more times but this time my Shield saves were fire, so I survived with 30hp. AD now double attacked RexSoka: YET ANOTHER Shien save! lol But then finally, my luck turned around: RexSoka failed the save on my second attack, and also the fprr, so they dropped to 30hp. Now I had a big decision: Pulse Cannon against them, when they've already spent fp this round, but also killing my IG-88B if I failed the save...or hold off, relying on T3 to finish the game next round. But if Joe wins init he can kill both B and T3 anyway...okay, I'm doing it! B made the save so he survived, and RexSoka failed. And that did it. Gambit for me. 210-122.
Wow, what a game! Making ALL your Shien saves (and preventing 240dmg)...that's a good strategy that I'll have to try some time. RexSoka were a menace because they just wouldn't take damage! However, T3 was a Boss and eventually things did turn around for me. Without those insane Shien saves this would've been a much more one-sided game because the matchup was really bad for Joe, since most of his tricks wouldn't work against a squad of follower-muggles. As always, it was piles of fun to play, Joe! Thanks for the game.

Mando (3pts) defeats Urbanshmi (0pts): 200-35
map played on was the Warriors Enclave
Laura set up on the left side.
The gizka were annoying little pests and made gambit a messy place to roam. After a few of them croaked, they just kept infesting the place making the shots hit a little easier from the Night brother Archers. I outactivated Laura's squad a lot and the gambit area was kinda open to allowing shots in against the apprentice and Palpatine from my Archers and Hunters. Taron Malicos did a couple Telekinetic Throws against Sidious to do 80 auto damage total which was a huge deal in taking him down. Sidious just kept making evade saves despite the gizka's and the plasma bolts, but eventually the sheer volume of shots took him down when he ran low on force points. It was a hard matchup to go against for UrbanShmi's squad and that i had the non-force user Nightbrothers didn't help with utilizing the Jedi Hunter on Juno and the Apprentice.

Randy over Darth Maim 230 to 130 on Jungle Tomb
I won map and chose this amazing, big beautiful dream of a map. The Rebel Alliance set up outside while I set up in the dark recesses of this ancient tomb. Revan between the Monument and the DFN and the others tucked away in the back. I took it slow on the 1st round. Revan using the monument for cover and draining the Nexus. The others waited behind the door. Leia ran to the farthest corner of the earth. Han and Chewie waited outside with the droids and Luke ran for gambit.
I won the roll, but let the Rebels make the first move. Luke charged into the DFN and confronted Darth Revan. He failed his DFN save and used Overwhelming Power. His rolls were not Overwhelming. Revan took 40. I opened the door with the pawn in my squad, but I didn't destroy it. That was a mistake. Traya came out and used Sith Hunger to gab another Force from Luke and take him down to 80. R2 rolled in and locked the door behind Traya. The princess strolled around in the poppy fields. This let Luke back away from Revan. Keeping with the theme of the event, Revan smacked Luke for 30 and Luke failed his saves. Stuck in the middle with me, he was at 50 with only 1 Force Point. Chewie moved up and opened the door. An open door is like an open invitation. Revan charged the wookiee. Mel's bad rolls persisted and Chewie took 80. Revan turned into Malak, Malak Through his lightning twice and removed Chewbacca and 2 uggies from reality. Malak was exposed now, but Revan and Bandon were safely locked behind a door. I chose to Base R2 who had failed a DFM save and was looking like an easy target. The Nexus gave Traya some Force Power. Sabine used her explosives to damage Malak, but somehow R2 was immune. Then Han dropped Malak to 10.
Han said I couldn't tell him the odds and the rebels went 1st. Luke backed up to the door and finished off Malak. I destroyed the door so Bandon could show R2 fifty shades of grip. The Mouse and 3P0 turtled and Revan pulled Traya up past the Monument so he could once again drink from the power of the Nexus. Leia pushed Han into the tomb and he fired on Traya. One successful Deflect left her at 60. Traya stepped out and took Luke's last Force Point and 20 of his life. Sabine threw a bomb and Traya failed the save 3 times. 74-89 Randy.
He went first and use Luke to end Trayas Vassal subscription. Then Luke backed up next to Sabine and 3-P0. The Nexus pushed Bandon to the top of the Monument. Revan charged past him landing next to Sabine, 3P0, and Luke. With a Lightsaber Assault he laid Sabine to rest. Then he dropped Bandon in to finish things up. Leia cried out to Luke and he ran for the door. Bandon, in a fit of Sith Rage!, crit Luke in the back. Han stepped up for a no cover angle on Bandon. He had not yet gone so he only took enough to get him down to 10. Bandon choked a mouse as he ran for the cover of the Nexus. 110-171 Randy.
I win the coin toss and Revan runs straight at Han. Here's 60 thanks for playing. Leia takes the long shot on Bandon but can't make the shot. (Missed by 1) Bandon drains the Nexus and uses all of his power for a grip before ducking for cover. 130-181
Revan wins the initiative and fires Han and 3P0.
It was a fast paced game, lots of bad rolls kept it exciting and close. We finished just a few short minutes before time ran out. Thanks for the game Mel, good hunting.
