Just throwing out some ideas I've had for Vassal leagues...
SQUAD CORES
-one squad from each faction, created by league initiator
-list of "cores" sent to all players before season starts
-start with a set "core" of characters
-filler is up to players
-Lobot in each core
-reinforcements up to each player
-every player must use each faction, randomly chosen at start
-rotates each week off a set schedule
-best record wins
-playoff if tie
-use DCI rules and restricted map list
-DOTF included
LAST FIVE
-structured squads created using ONLY characters from the last five sets
-includes: JA, GAW, DT, MOTF, DOTF
-Swiss structure
-use DCI rules and restricted map list
FANTASTIC FOUR
-squads consisting of only 4 characters totalling up to 200 points
-must obey squad building rules
-possible team play (CEs do not propagate)
-no Reinforcements or Reserves
-one activation per phase
-use DCI rules and restricted map list; exception: Gambit scoring is 5pts for EACH character in the zone
-DOTF included
FANTASTIC FOUR - SLUGFEST
-rules as above with the exception listed below
-maps are restricted to approved tiles (see Tile Wars rules)
