At least there's some good news: the total death count at the camp was lowered from 86 to 68. The police
could've stopped him when they arrived, but they had to wait for over an hour for a S.W.A.T. team because, in Norway, cops don't even carry firearms. Just think of how many lives could've been saved if the police even had just standard-issue sidearms. I realize that Norway is a peaceful country and things like this rarely happen, but I can't believe that law enforcement officers don't have weapons of any kind. I don't want to sound insensitive or turn this into what-ifs, but I feel like part of the problem was poor judgement. It is still a tragic event that I'll never forget. I hope this man is dealt justice swiftly, and I continue to pray for the families affected until this is resolved.
