Okay, I successfully downloaded VASSAL, but for some reason, it won't let me do anything but the Vassal tour. so i tried to do the tour and just found alll of these weird boards and didn't know what to do. Please help, trying ot set up my brother(DeltaSquadron) to be MiniTank's opponent

Have you gone (carefully) through the how-to instructions posted over at www.swmresources.com ? Those should get you where you want to be. If they don't, post again.

when i looked at it, it looks like i didnt install the shortcut, but i downloaded on my MAC. All is appears on it is downloads at the bottom right.

I have had a similar problem too. I can get into what the lobies supposed to look like, but I can't start a game (or don't know how)

I'm not a Mac user, so I'm winging it here based on a Windows install. You need 3 separate downloads: Vassal program, SWM game module, V-Sets extension (the v-set pieces) - Launch the Vassal download to install the program. If you did that and don't have a shortcut, make one. The game module and v-set extensions are in a compressed format (.rar I believe) - You need to extract the game module from that download into the folder that Vassal was installed into. - Then you need to extract the Virtual Sets.mdx from that download into a subfolder named SWMinis_ext that you have to create in the Vassal folder. Run Vassal. If the game module isn't listed in the module library window, use the File menu to find and open it. The extension should load automatically, but if it doesn't, right-click the game module in the list and choose 'add extension'.

I went online and searched for a swm module and downloaded it, but when I open that module, it just comes up with the module library as Vassal Tour

Okay, i dowloaded it on my laptop, and I got stuck when it said move the Star wars.rar into my desktop because i couldnt find it in my computer

I tried opening it, but it gave me a bunch of ways to open it and I randomly choose word and I don't know how to change it. Downloading you link now

OK, you need a tool to extract the file then. http://www.stuffit.com/mac-expander.htmlThis will open/extract .rar files (just download the free version)

Don't use 7-zip. It's extremely difficult to work with. Use WinRar. It's free for the first month, and it works indefinitely.
