Howdy!
I wonder if people have found SWMinis players elsewhere on the internet, during their star wars miniatures research.
It doesn't necessarily have to be SWMinis exclusively - some of the older pewter WotC figures or WEG figures all the way to 'notquitethem' such as Hasslefree or garage kits, etc.

without further ado, here's a look at terrainaholic's stuff
(and hopefully terrainaholic will stop by Bloomilk eventually and introduce himself).

Above: a link to a sizeable hoth-themed table.

Terrainaholic states he is a fan of Azrikel's work from hirst arts, and of the large-scale combat scenarios.
Terrainaholic would also like to make terrain and vehicles for SWMinis as backburner projects.

Also on the radar is Teri Litorco, if people haven't already come across this youtuber.
Although Teri predominantly plays and collects GW40K and ST:AW, she hasn't ruled out giving SWMinis a play and might collect SW:Imperial Assault, so that'll be yet another source of playthroughts/battle reports.

So, if you happen upon some great SWMinis vids on youtube or dailymotion,
or have collection vids, it'd be great to hear about those.
If you make youtube vids or have a webpresence elsewhere, it'd be great to hear about it - we've got a couple of podcasts and regionals/championships are filmed, rarer are the unboxings or scenario-based gameplay.
Extremely rare are minis used in filmed SW:RPG games, though filming roleplay sessions (with jumpcuts and metanarratives, "Clerks" style) is starting to become a thing - that's perhaps a little too "world of world of warcraft" for me though.

Has anyone seen any googlehangouts gameplays or realtime stuff that way?
Is that a preferred way to play for some, compared with Vassal?

I had heard that perhaps SWMinis would be featured in a form of 'kids react to' on youtube, which'd be awesome to see.

If only Anthony Daniels had a youtube show where he and a few guests each week played SW:RPG or just sat and played SWMinis... if Cushing were still around in the era of googlehangouts, he'd probably have done something similar. Sorta like a more awesome Wars version of Will Wheaton's show... only with all sorts of guests given Daniels' extensive theater and animatronic stuff. So maybe one week its Wars minis, the next its Tannhauser or Stratego, or Risk.
what do people think it would take to make something like that happen? (i've seen worse kickstarters... solar freakin roadways much?).

Cheers,
Kobayashimaru
