Howdy,
with some sneak peak music released ahead of SW:VII, which surprisingly isn't too bad given the tronish visuals
(the music only, not the film, folks),
now seems as good a time as any to wheel out that old chestnut question of the ages -
what is your favorite star wars music, and why?
Also, have you heard an interesting alternate take on any of the themes? Maybe you've seen fan covers on youtube?

I'd have to say that Dooku's theme/"chasing the bounty" is my favorite track,
followed closely by the "darkside theme or the EP:V Bespin Duel theme.
The Tie Fighter Chase music from SW:EP IV is also neat... 'duh duh, dah-duh! duh duh, duh-duh-dah-duh-duh"

The RTS (Serbian TV orchestra) variant of The Phantom Menace is also neat! I don't know how they play so fast, and yet make so few mistakes...
Yoda's Theme, as played by the Kosei Orchestra is also awesome - it sounds very different, much more 'organic'. Great for fans of the big brass/woodwind band.

Honorable mentions also for several Oom-pah Band variants, Orquesta Sinfonica de Puerto Rico and Orquesta Sinfonica Brasileira; they sure do make the music come alive for the fight sequences!

And of course, no one can forget good ol' Richard Cheese's many takes on the Wars classics. BigGrin
