So I've just got back into the game and I feel I have far too many maps, choosing is a little confusing. So what are your test best recommended maps?
And if you want what are the 10 worst maps?

These are probably my ten favourites. Most are restricted, but I like Exodus Class Cruiser because it's pretty.

Define 'best'. See the restricted list for a sample of maps that are considered well balanced (or at least balanced enough for competitive play):

Those are the maps for sanctioned tournaments, regionals, and the GenCon championship tournament. There are a handful of threads here in the Map Discussion forum where people tossed around their opinions for what should be on that list. You may want to resurrect one of those threads if balance is your definition of 'best'. If your definition is different, that could start a whole different conversation, though...

Using a competitive map list as a guide then these are some of the "worse" maps.
However, they could be great maps if your just doing a special format or fun game or RPG.

Flying arrow made a good point but as for my favourites:
Alien Warzone - Beautiful art, only Vong map in the game and huge friendly!
Great Library and Dark Academy are both super cool and thematic opposites
Theed is my favourite for game play and sweet movie themed location
Remote Listening post is a great assault style map and is my favourite to play seps on
Outlaw City is just cool
The ship maps (boarding action/exodus/heavy lander) are pretty cool to fight it out inside of)
And simulation is easily the most perfectly balanced
All that being said I am really excited for Jedi Cartographers latest map pack and feel like my new favourites will be in there

Ok cool, yeah "best" is probably pretty subjective. But your opinions will certainly help me get my maps to a manageable amount :)
