Commander effects have no range unless it says so?
I can stick a commander in a corner for the entire skirmish and the appropriate characters benefit?
I am having a hard time adjusting from DDM I guess.. but I will eventually get it,

Correct, though do note that the majority of CEs do have a range.

you can use Mas Amedda and mouse droids to increase the range of CE 
|

from what I've read, Mas Amedda is rad for CE. But, does he only amp up one CE(or set of CE's from one character), or the CE's of every commander in your squad?

But also note with Mas Amedda, his booming voice is not a CE its a SA. & when using it he makes any CE on your team ranged ulimited. But when using his booming voice you have to make sure there is a clear path from Mas to the person being effected by the CE. So if you have mas locked in a room with no doors open then his booming voice would not work. You gotta make sure when using it there are no walls, or doors blocking it from getting through.

Incorrect. Booming Voice has no range, thus Mas can be locked in a room and Booming Voice will still be in effect. You are talking about the CE's that are boosted by Booming Voice, which would have unlimited range and thus paths need to be traced.

Why would you track the paths of the unlimited range CEs? That doesn't mean that the CE could be shut off by a door, does it?

UNLIMITED Range is different than NO Range. If a range is listed, a path must be traceable to the benefitting character, even if it is unlimited. If there is no range, then it doesn't matter where the commander is.

Some examples of CEs with no range:
General Reiken from IE
General Wedge from KOTOR
The new Thrawn's Opprotunist from IE
GOWK from CW Starter
All of these just give the CEs to the affected pieces without having to worry about range. They could be in a locked room and still give followers/allies the benefits.

SO... LEMME GET THIS STRAIGHT... if Mas gives someone unlimited range... and they get locked in a room by my R2 unit... THEIR CE IS LOCKED IN THE ROOM WITH THEM!?!?!?!?!?

@sithborg, i didnt say he has range & it was a typo i wrote has to be traced from mas i meant to write the commander.. Theres nothing in life that i love more than looking like a Duchebag to everyone on the internet. Thanx lol
