Hi folks.
It seems Bloomilk is finally back,
after what seemed a 3 day DNS attack or blocking -
I was unable to access the site from several different devices for 3 days.

this included from proxy links, such as via google,
accessed from the public library...
how odd.

did anyone else experience a similar outage?
if not...
was this just local?
what could be the cause for such?

I hope it was just a momentary issue,
and look forward to seeing bloomilk continue to go
from strength to strength!

@Caedus,
I take it that "+1" to mean,
you also experienced an outage for a period of time?

Its weird, because some down south PM'd me to say they had no such problem,
while others from the Local Game Store had problems from Sunday til now...

maybe its just this region?

I didn't have a problem, maybe it was a server issue?

Incidentally, I sent an email to shinja@live.com and he got it fixed pretty quickly. (The email is right on the front page.) He said the automatic domain renewal had failed. So presumably we won't see that particular error for another year at least.

@all,
it is awesome to see Bloomilk means so much to so many BlooMilk
-truly, a good sign for Bloomilk BigGrin
(and I have to be honest, I'm glad for the locals and yours truly it wasn't a 'just us' hehe)

EDIT: DoS/DNS attacks have been happening increasingly on many other sites,
and I'll be danged if cyber-pirates
cyber-squat or do any cyber-shenanigans to Bloomilk or anywhere else hehe {cue fist-shaking emoticon}
hence my wondering if others had a similar issue,
and to understand what it may have been -
which appears to have been a routine computer glitch at this time (not a malicious event)

its a relief,
and good to know Bloomilk is back.

@flyingarrow,
thanks for clarifying that -
I'm so used to EDIT: DoS/DNS (denials of service) situations and spam whatevers on most of the otherplaces,
I had a dreadful feeling for that split second,
that Bloomilk would be cyber-squatted, Scared
and in a moment, would just vanish without any goodbye. Crying

luckily, it was just a computery glitch BigGrin
and indeed - shinja's email is in the rotor-dex,
fav'd right there hehe.

computers, gotta love them, right? BigGrin

DoS is denial of service.
DNS is Domain Name Service - the translation of a URL to an IP address. The bloomilk name temporarily became unrecognized.

@kobayashimaru

No offense but has anyone ever mentioned that your posts sound a lot like a spam bot? ...lol

@DarkDracul,
none taken BigGrin
I do hear that from time to time.
Would it help if I told you, one of the other hats I dabble in,
is AGI?
it must be the E-Prime emerging in me,
either that, or you work with enough hashing tables and
markov chain monte carlo processes, you end up resembling one BigGrin.
(Cue Korbin Dallas: "Negative, I am a meat Popsicle")
I'm not a synth, I promise: just a CIS fan from way back

@jen'ari
thanks jen'ari -
I enjoy your posts also;
I only wish there were a few more often on the Customs thread BigGrin
there's an aladdin's cave of custom you've got there
also - will you be making custom statcards in near futures?
that'd be awesome to see - and any ideas you have on custom vehicle-format "staggered activation" cards would be great
my vector art variants don't look quite right...

Hmmm, @kobayashimaru, maybe if you sprinkle in "FIFA Coins" or "Nike[made up name]" now and then.BigGrin

Agreed Koba has sweet posts, I always take the time to read them because they are so well written. Like poetry almost haha.
On topic I also experienced not being able to log on between Saturday and Sunday
