I thought that Czerka Scientist special abilities had to work on allies within 6 squares. I see people with Mas Amedda in the squad and I keep thinking that it won't work since it's a special ability. Am I right?

You are correct... Mas Amedda will only work on characters that have a CE limited to 6 squares of them. Not for special abilities such as a Czerka Scientist
