Okay community - let's break the OR together. What's the best OR squad we can come up with?

Here are the pieces that can be a squad foundation:

Bastila Shan, Jedi Master
Obviously the biggest Power 11 piece in the faction.

Valenthyne Farfalla
Prideful for Army of Light forms another squad base. His net cost of 25 is an incredible bargain. Including Bastila with him is still an option.

Master Q'Anilia
New in Vset 14, Q'Anilia doesn't work with Bastila and is a major boost for Covenant.

Arkanian Jedi General
Prideful makes it so he doesn't work so well with Bastila. AJG squads have felt like Tier 2 or Tier 1.5 for quite some time.

I can't think any other OR squad-defining pieces that have a shot at Tier 1.

And then some tech staples:

XT-6 Droid
Excellent filler option, assuming door control is already covered.

Old Republic Senator
Cannon shots can be quite powerful, and as a Diplomat he's hard to take out.

Arca Jeth, Jedi Spirit
Movement breaker, attack boost, defense, and a Force battery.

Bao-Dur, Tech Specialist
The key to an OR Hex Droid squad, which won a regional but is probably not Tier 1.

Covenant Defender
Ranged defense.

Finally, the damage dealers.

First the Jedi. There's a long list of potential Jedi damage dealers in OR. Problem is they are almost all good - not great. Here are a few of the better options, but there are several others that could plausibly also be included in the list:

Master Thon
Lucien Draay, Jedi Master
Ven Zallow, Jedi Master
Satele Shan
Vima Sunrider
Xesh
Kerra Holt
Shoaneb Culu, Jedi Knight
Jedi Battlemaster

And the shooters:
Atton "Jaq" Rand
Carth Onasi, Old Republic Soldier
Aric Jorgan
Old Republic Veteran Trooper
Old Republic Trooper
Old Republic Drop Pilot

I may have missed something worth mentioning. If so, mention it. But that's a pretty good layout of the factions strengths. What's the best we can do?

Good point. They did pretty well at GenCon a few years ago and just got a new piece.

Antarians have traditionally thrived on their high defenses. I think with the consistent rise in the average attack of characters the ranger builds will probably be sub par.

What is the last OR squad to win a regional? Was it the Hex Droids?

--Gunner--
30 Arkanian Jedi General
27 Lobot
92 Elite Gunner x4
36 Old Republic Commander x2
14 Forn Dodonna, Fleet Admiral

(199pts. 9 activations)

Isn't terrible

And then there is this beauty:

-Hexamethasone--
140 Hex Droid x4
33 Bastila Shan, Jedi Master
21 Bao-Dur, Tech Specialist
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 8 activations)

It's fun to play - low activation and every piece has its role. But I haven't had much success with it against other Tier 1 stuff recently.

AJG can be good, but I would go for a mix of soldier types, and probably wouldn't use Forn. I've used Oteg before just because Stealth can be such a killer for an AJG squad.

I'd probably play that version if I were bold enough. But instead I'd add Blizz and more door control in place of the 4th Hex.

Yea I can't really see it keeping up with most of the top 6 at Gencon this year.
