Per the Holocron SA, they are not subject to commander effects, so no interaction with Rev's CE.

You can certainly play one of them with Revan, since he's Fringe.

I thought squadbuidling CE were different than in Games ones?

Yeah, you may be right. I'm brain-fried from work (still at). I'll look at it again later.

I still think the answer is yes..... Revans CE is for squadbuilding, so I don't see how the Holocrons would not benefit from it....

I was also under the impression characters are only subject to or benefit from commander effects while in play.
(I.E. while on the battle grid from start of skirmish until defeated). Which is why you can't use a CE to bring back or effect a defeated character when it's removed from play. (e.g. MTB)

Sorry folks, I get sidetracked often. (probably at least a half-dozen other rules questions in the queue atm)

The only precedent in WotC that I could find is Merumeru bringing in Savage Chewie. There is no coverage
in the FAQ about it. (thanks WotC)

So YES, as it affects squad building (eg the player), but provides no other benefits to the Holos, the usual clause (see San Hill etc) is not technically necessary (wouldn't have fit on the card anyway), so it is allowed.
