This isn't really a rule Q, but this seemed the most appropriate topic..
Are the maps that come WITH the Ultimate Missions legal?
I don't know anything about them.
Thanks,

are those the ones that come with the RPG books?
cuz i have one, and it has no lines for Difficult terrain.
i would assume, that if thats what you mean, that they are not legal.

no, not the RPG books
They are large paperback books called Ultimate MIssions.. there are 3 of them made in 2005 I think.
THey have different scenarios you can do... and I am pretty sure they come with maps.
I just didnt' know which ones and if they are legal
thanks

Some are fine, some are not. In the Rebel Storm UM book, you will find the Bespin and Mos Eisley maps. I don't think that either of those are actually legal. However, those maps were re-printed and distributed through League kits a couple of times, and those versions ARE legal. The easy way to tell with the Mos Eisley map is to look for the difficult terrain lines (might be the same way on Bespin, but I can't remember). If it doesn't have yellow lines, it isn't the legal version.

The Clone Wars UM book, the Coruscant Night Club map is legal, but the Geonosis one on the back is not legal. In the Revenge of the Sith UM book, the Mustafar map is not legal, but the Throne Room map on the other side of it is legal. However, you can also get the Throne Room map in the 2007 starter, which can typically be found cheaper than the UM books.

So, short version is, unless you can find a super cheap deal on the UM books, it's typically better to look to trade with somebody for the DCI legal versions of the maps, or to pick up the '07 starter for the Throne Room map. The UM books aren't much worth it otherwise. There is some decent stuff in there for scenarios though, that are mildly fun, and there are some tiles and other map elements you can use for scenarios/RPG in the UM books, if you like playing those sorts of things too.
