I am excited to announce that kezzamachine has completed a PDF visual guide of all 167 maps. We haven't had one of these since 2014, so it is great to have all of the images in one place!

Or direct link: https://swmgamers.com/SWM/Rules/FullMaplist2022.pdf

This list has every map released for the game by WotC, Maps of Mastery (Chris West), or Adventurer's Atlas (mainly Matt Francella). The maps are numbered and shown in chronological order with the following information:

* Map name
* Alternate names
* Where the map comes from
* Image
* Image of the reverse side
* Year of publication
* The years in which the map was on the restricted list (if any)
* Classification into one of these categories:
*** Restricted: on the 2021-22 restricted list.
*** Restricted candidate: a map that has potential to be a restricted list in some future year. This is a generously large list. Not every map that is a candidate is guaranteed to ever be on the restricted list, and some will be on the restricted list far more than others. But if a map is not a candidate, it's a pretty safe bet that it will never be on the restricted list.
*** Standard: Generally, they're pretty good maps with one fatal flaw such as not being huge-friendly
*** Open: Less balanced maps, generally used for scenarios or in skirmishes where both squads are agreed on beforehand so that the skirmish is still balanced
*** Illegal: Wide open maps, or maps where you can't get from one side to the other

I helped with some research and classification, but the work of actually making the PDF is all thank to kezza. I'll also take credit for prodding him. BlooMilk

So glad to have this!

Edit: I just noticed that the current restricted list maps are all listed as being restricted for "2021-22", but for all of the previous years it just lists what is restricted for the regional/GenCon season. The current restricted list was not legal for 2021 GenCon/regoinal season, so it doesn't match up with all the other listings. We might get that corrected, but even if not the list is great.

Wow, I have never even seen most of these. Is there a way to get any of these anymore?

For many, you just have to watch ebay closely. All of the WotC maps were made in high enough volume that you can eventually find them. The two poster maps (Ossus and Taris) are the hardest WotC maps to find, but even those easier to find than some of the early maps by Matt Francella.

Matt Francella's Map Pack 8 just came out Fall 2021, so he should still have copies on hand. For sale here:

Looks like Noble Knight also has some of his maps in stock, including Map Pack 8:

Unfortunately, when he printed the older maps, he printed a certain number and then eventually they sold out. After that, just have to hope to find them on the secondary market. Ebay or one of the facebook groups if you're patient. He also has a digital compendium available, which has images of most of his maps so that you can print your own. But it doesn't have all of them.

Chris West was the WotC map artist, and he kept making his own maps after the game was discontinued. His store is Maps of Mastery. Not sure what is in stock, but here is the link:
