I am confused on the wording of the last part of this ability

Quote:
Ignore the Specialization ability whenever any allied character counts as having the same name as another ally.

I am confused on the wording of the last part of this ability. Does it apply to non-uniques with the same name? I guess I am not understanding a situation where this would apply

Every character in your squad must have a different name. Otherwise the ability is negated.

For example, if you have two Ugnaught Demolitionists, your squad loses the benefit of Specialization.

Think of it like you can only use each piece once when squad building. The Ugnaught Demolitionist example above is perfect. You also have to be careful because specialization is constantly being checked. So if you have any piece that duplicates itself, for example Porg, it can turn specialization off in the middle of the game.

Or any CEs that let characters count as having the same name.

Porg is probably the most likely occurrence. Enemy characters that join an opponents squad can also trigger it if you already have a unique who counts as that character on the table.
