Do special abilities with the same name on different characters stack?

Rapport stacks as long as the text is different, but that is a WotC exception to the rule. Other abilities do not stack with themselves, even if the text is different. In particular, Synergy does not stack. A few abilities do stack with themselves, but they say so explicitly. Mettle is an example.

Each of them are adjacent to an ally that is hit with a non-adjacent attack. Do both Defender SA's trigger?

Intimidation, which multiple Inquisitors have, is the specific special ability that I was wondering about

You could, however, have a character being affected by an ally's and an enemy's Intimidation at the same time, cancelling each other out.
