I am pretty sure that I have brought this up before but I Cannot find it, and it came up at one point in my recent game against lightsaber.
-- Since levitate is movement, do you have to have a legal path to get to the square in question?--
For example if there are 8 enemies surrounding a square, can you levitate a person into that square surrounded by the enemies.
I remember at one point being told that you had to be able to have a legal path to the space you wanted to land (it could be 58 squares all the way around the outside of the map and back but still had to be a way to get there through normal movement). Levitate does not grant flight or any other way to move through enemies.
It came up when I had a door blocked off with guys and Lightsaber at one point was considering levitating past me. We ruled at the time that because it said movement he couldn't go past, so he did something different and in the end it worked out for him as he won the game, but just thought I would ask again.

I also have some recollection of reading that you can't go through enemies. However the FAQ says: Quote:The affected character may take any desired path, one space at a time, through squares that are within 6 squares of the character with Levitation. Other characters and terrain are ignored but the character may not cross through walls.

my apologies to lightsaber then for not letting him levitate to his desired square.
At least it didn't change the outcome of the game.

I think the Levitating move I was considering wasn't actually a great move, so I'm happy you disallowed it and made me re-evaluate options :)
