This was the one event I Was looking forward to that I knew I could play heading to gencon (besides the champs).

Laura couldn't play due to other obligations so I brought her squad (one of her first landmark squads) with jareal and skywalker each doing 60 on the move. I ended up pairing up with logan and we had a blast.

There were 4 teams so it was a round robin tournament.

Rd 1
I played against trevor and a crucial mistake followed by some good trevor dice sealed my fate. In rd 1 I left a spot for skywalker adjacent to both R2 and panaka (for the BG) and then when I moved him I made a mistake and put him a little further up and not next to panaka. Trevor swooped in the exar magically appeared and pounded on skywalker. Luckily I won the next init so I had a chance as Jarael had 3 chance to stun exar but he made all 3 saves, then did a huge sith sorcery which activated almost everyone. After that it was pretty down hill. I did manage to eek out a point, but didn't have the damage output to finish off exar.

Not sure what happened in logan's game but he did get a point.

Rd 2
against robert and jake. They were brand new to the minis tournament scene and jake said it was only his 4th or 5th game of minis but it was a super fun game. He played quite well considering as I slowly moved up the board taking out his droids. Great fun and hopefully they return again for next year.

Looked over and Logan had his force immune guys tracking down rebel force push and felt kinda bad for his opponent.

Rd 3
against drew and his thrawn swap with cad bane. This is mostly a bad match for him as in general the republic player gets in with whoever and does 20 to cad (or more) then that piece dies, but the next guy that gets towed or swapped in later finishes off cad bane. That is how kybuck does it and also how this squad does it as well. It was a little more interesting than that as drew was better than most at hiding cad bane, but I eventually got it worked around where that is exactly what happened.

Not sure exactly what happened in logans game but it appears he won 2-0

We ended up with 13 points a single point behind the winner, although really much farther as even if we had secured another point, we lost head to head with them so would still have been second place.
