The Sith are again rising and this time really seething with pure force lightning energy, to announce the Strategicon Convention, located in Los Angeles, California, which is called "Gateway" in August, will be presenting 2 Star Wars Miniatures events on Sunday, August 31st, 2025, 12:00pm-10:00pm, at The Hilton Los Angeles Hotel, located just a few minutes from LAX.

Please arrive at 11:00am, so that we can get registered, choose maps, distribute boosters, make your team, and get 1st round opponent pairings.

11:00am-12:00pm: Registration/Pay for participation badge/Map selection/Card Set + Booster sheet distribution/Squad Building/Opponent pairings

Event #1: 12:00pm-4:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures Sealed Booster Draft Tournament

SWM's Virtual Sets #26 " New Peridea Exiles" and the subset "Primary Operations Strikeforce", #27 "Lies and Liberation", and #28 "Echoes in the Force". Each participant will receive 1 random booster sheet with 2 boosters from set #26, and we will random draft 2 boosters from sets 27 & 28, for participants to make a 200pt team, from the 3 latest sets. The tourney will consist of 3-4 swiss, 1 hour rounds. GM will provide minis and maps to borrow. Prize support will be provided by the convention for the top 2 participants.

These 3 most recent new sets are unbelievable and again continue to do what Wizards of the Coast couldn't do; make a more balanced game, and help the seldom used factions to actually be playable! Introducing many new SW expanded universe characters, Disney + Star Wars series characters, special abilities, Force powers, and cool commander effects, in which all factions are represented. With many new special abilities, Force powers, and characters never done yet in SWM, there are many new elements to keep our beloved game new, fresh, and super fun. You do not want to miss out on playing in a tourney with these exciting new sets!

Event #2: 5:00pm-10:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures "Fantastic Four" Draft Tournament:

Each particpant will receive 2 random Epic characters and 2 random unique characters, and those 4 characters will be their team for the duration of the tournament. Doors cannot be overridden closed in this format. Activate one character at a time each phase. The tourney will consist of 3-4 swiss, 1 hour rounds. GM will provide minis, cards, and maps, for participants to borrow. Prize support will be provided by the convention for the top 2 participants.


Strategicon, is the proud Con that is So Cals finest gaming convention! It takes place Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day weekends, every year. Each holiday weekend has a special Con name, and Labor Day weekend is known as Gateway. Please join us in battle as we blast, slash, Force push, Force pull, Force lightning, Force grip, Sith sorcery, Force whirlwind, Force blast, missles, grenades, and flame thrower, the day away!

Strategicon runs three gaming conventions a year. Come and enjoy playing a number of board, card, collectible, miniature, party, tabletop and live action role playing, video and wor games. Conventions run for four days each during Presidents, Menorial and Labor Day weekends located at the LAX Hilton.
