Welcome everyone to round 1 of the Galactic Escalation tournament for the Fall of 2025! The squads for this round are 125pts.

Game length is 75 minutes and gambit is worth 6pts. There will be 1 week starting today (October 10, 2025) to get your matchups in. Please complete your games by midnight (Eastern time: GMT-5:00) on Thursday, October 16, 2025. If anyone needs extra time, we can extend the time needed; just let me know via BM.

We’ve got 8 players, which means two divisions of 4 players each. For the first 3 rounds of the events (125, 175, and 225pts) you will be playing in a round robin format against the other people in your division. Then, for Round 4, each person will be paired with someone from the opposite division. After that we’ll determine who makes the playoffs.

For this season, I've decided to name the divisions after two famous hyperspace lanes:
Kessel Run Division
Hydian Way Division


Regarding playoffs: Since we have a total of 4 players, it seems about right to do a Top 4: the top two players from each division will advance to the semi-final round:
--1st place from the Kessel Run division will play vs 2nd place from the Hydian Way division
--1st place from the Hydian Way division will play vs 2nd place from the Kessel Run division

And then, if the 3rd and 4th place players from each division are interested, they could play a couple of "consolation playoff" matches, just because it could be fun. That'll be up to them, when we get to that point.

Lightsaber finally defeats gandalfthegreatestwizard 149-54 (3-0) on Desert Palace.

Round 1: Tulak gets Stifling, Mae gets Distraction, Feln activates Force Awareness. None of these abilities are ever used. My ugnaughts commit arson in the back. 0-0

Round 2: We get into gambit. More arson. 6-6

Round 3: The ugnaughts finally make it up to gambit and blow up the central door. I take some shots at the incredibly well-defended Covenant - all Defended. 12-12

Round 4: More Defendering. Feln and the Defender run up to take a crack at Tulak, doing a total of 40damage after two misses and a successful Shein roll on a Reflexive Throw. Mae assassinates the Defender with knives and a Push. Feln is finally undefended and takes some fire. Q'Anilia attacks Vaklu, Raana stands behind. Tulak crits Feln to defeat him and the ugnaughts flank the weakened Covenant around the top of the map. 69-18.

Round 5: Gandalf wins initiative and takes out Vaklu. Q'Anilia starts taking fire from the DK Assassin and Mae. The Sentinel unwisely kills an Ugnaught - but he will be avenged. Raana hits Tulak, but he hits Q'Anilia in revenge and takes her out. Then Tulak activates and scores two Rageful Crits on Raana, who Defences one. The Ugnaughts continue to flank. 97-54.

Round 6: Raana whacks Tulak, Tulaks whacks her back to kill. The DK assassin shoots at the Sentinel, leaving him on 10. Then the Ugnaught charges in to avenge his brother and punches the Sentinel into yesterday. Tulak finishes Krynda for a full squad wipe 149-54

Moral of the story: Don't mess with Ugnaughts. (Also Tulak took out four Covenant Uniques and still had 40hp left, even without SSM?!?!).

he won map, i set up on left. round 1 we go up. crimmy corsair gets into the main room.

round 2 i kill crimson corsair with mando because of some unlucky rolling. he chucks a grenade with nym but i make both saves with mando and the alpha. more stuff happens.

round 3 i run with alpha and deal 70 on aurra and mando finishes her off. vornskr dies.

round 4 i kill hondo and nym runs up and hits talon for 20. talon hits back and misses.

round 5 mando shoots at nym, nym hits talon, talon runs away and takes 30 from an aoo so hes on 10.

round 6 nym dies from mando. talon takes an aoo from breachman but breachman misses.

overall a good game, i rolled lots of evades which stopped it from being closer. we actually played twice and he thrashed me on the first game, but he'd read a crimson's ce wrong so we had to rematch.
