spryguy1981 (3) defeats Mando (1) 202-199 on Cloud City in perhaps one of the closest games I have ever played.

Round 1 was positioning.

Round 2 I traded Sev for a Hunter and killed an archer

Round 3 he killed Fixer I killed 2 Archers and the Warrior, and the same Gizka 4 times

Round 4 he killed Boss, I severely hurt Malicos.

Round 5 he kills Fi and Alpha, I kill Malicos, and the Hunter

Round 6 I killed Talia, Scorch left standing he kills Gree. I win on gambit

I got lucky with scoring a free 12 points off of the Gizka. Had I not gotten those points he likely wins with Mama T as she had FP and I had a 20HP Scorch. This was a super tight game and I can't really do it justice with a write up. Great game, good luck the rest of the way.

thereisnotry defeats Randy 219-13 (3-0) on WARRIORS ENCLAVE.

I won the map roll and chose this map. Randy set up on in the bottom-right corner, with the Nexus and Revan in the middle (Revan was safely behind the wall inside the gambit zone). I set up in the normal area on the left.

Round 1: Mostly maneuvering. Eventually Revan swapped for Kreia. The Nexus then pulled him forward; however, this left him in a position where some of my guys could draw a LOS on him. I attacked with IG-88A, who hit (failed deflect, fprr w Nexus for success), then crit for 50dmg (Revan at 70). IG-88 BH then moved up to miss and hit, but Revan made his deflect save (down to 0 fp now). IG-88 AD then stepped up to attack, hitting both (and Randy's saves were miserable), and then a Pulse Cannon finished him off. We considered calling the game right here, but decided to play it out for a bit anyway, just to see if he could mount a counter-attack of some sort. Gambit for Randy. 62-10 for me.

Round 2: Minor maneuvering, with my Mice advancing to prepare for devastation later in the round. The Nexus pushed Kreia out to where she could shoot a Mouse, then she moved back to safety. T3 used Targeting on her. Then I swapped up IG-88 AD, to double-twin and Pulse Cannon her to death. Gambit for me. 108-13.

Round 3: Randy won init again. Malak used Ambush to smack IG-88A for good damage (down to 50hp after Shields). IG-88 AD unloaded on Malak, dropping him to 10hp (IG-88A made his Pulse Cannon Save). T3 flamed Malak to death. Bandon Gripped IG-88A (down to 20hp), and then fell to the firepower of my other Iggies.

Dropping Revan in Round 1 was huge, because it prevented the rest of the Sith from doing what they came there to do. Randy's Deflect dice were miserable, and I had more than enough firepower to take advantage of his placement mistake. Thanks for the game, Randy!

UrbanShmi defeats urbanjedi 230-137 (3-1) on Gangster's Vault

Jason won map and I set up on the right. Jason set up in the top left corner with Plagueis and the Holocron next to the Nexus. Round 1, I moved everyone up, including using the personal transport, and opened the top door. Plagueis easypathed to kill the droid and then tucked himself in the corner by the center door. The apprentice couldn't push him due to shrouded, so he ran up and put 60 on him with the twin jedi hunter. 20-10 Jason (both get gambit).

Round 2, I win init, Cognus intuitions next to the Apprentice (but not Plagueis) and surprise attacks for 60. Apprentice finishes off Plagueis and then dies to Cognus (having lost 10 on a Presence save). Sid comes around and lightnings Cognus, Wyrrlok and Bandon put a total of 50 autodamage on the Emperor (and 30 on the Death Trooper). Jason's scrubs wall in the Emperor. 78-80 Laura.

Round 3, I win init, Cognus intuitions away, and the Death Trooper gets the scrubs. Cognus is easypathed near Bandon. Another 50 does on to Sid (and another 30 on the Death Trooper), who runs out, rerolls a failed presence save (which would be crucial later), and Lightnings Bandon. Cognus runs around and kills Juno. Laura gets Gambit, 91-90 Jason.

Round 4, I win init, Cognus kills the Death Trooper. Sid kills Wyrrlok (also important) and gets gripped for a third time (down to 3-0--oof!), Bandon easy paths away and takes 40 with Rage on the AOO (down to 10 HP). Nexus gives up its last FP and dies, Cognus and Bandon are back in Gambit, but Sid is not, so end of round score is 131-127 Laura (ish)

Round 5, I win init, Cognus intuitions to try to protect Bandon and gets Lightninged and activated. Bandon grips one more time (Sid down to 10). However, J was desperately trying to move Bandon over with the Holocron and he failed his save with the Holocron reroll. Uggie ran around and took the Holocron's last FP so it was waiting to die.

Round 6, I win Init, Cognus stays put, Sid spends FP with move faster and get adjacent to Cognus and Bandon. Assault hits Cognus on the first attack, she fails 2 parries and finally dies. Second attack hits Bandon, who ripostes, hits, Sid parries, Bandon and Holocron die. Final score Laura 230, Jason 137.

This was a great game with a lot of ups and downs for both players. As usual, Sidious almost ran out of time, but his luck was just a little too strong. Looking forward to next round!

Even if Sid fails that save and dies, Laura would still have won and it would have been a crazy ending as I would have had more points, but Laura would have won becuase she would have had the only character left on the board (her uggie).

Skywalker's Fist (gandalf) defeats This is Madness! (DarthMaim) 179-24 (2-0)

I won map roll and picked Cloud City. Mel took the left as usual and used Versatility for Leia and Han, taking Accurate for both. He set up in the Control Room behind all the doors and I in the Visitor's Centre except for Rexsoka out on the landing pad.

Round 1, the Legion began marching through the Cargo Bay at the top of the map. Chewie roared at Leia and the Heroes started moving through the many doors in their path. At the end of the round, Mel had Luke in gambit via some extra movement wizardry. On my side Rexsoka were standing on the low objects on the landing pad, and Anakin was hanging next to Doombot. 0-10

Round 2, Mel won init and made me go first; I blew an irrelevant door. Leia told Luke to get the hell out of gambit and retreat to his comrades. We both took turns spinning guys and slowly advancing a little. Rebel R2 locked the main door to gambit on the right side. Luke returned to gambit as Mel's last activation. Then Doombot towed Anakin up and opened the door. Both of the 332nd troopers took shots at Luke needing 9s; the first 3 hit, two got Evaded but one got through the reroll (80HP left), then Luke was cloaked. Rexsoka spent Force to move faster and they shot Luke four times in the face needing 7s; he failed a Defense but lived with 20HP. Anakin charged in and finished off his errant son with Overwhelming Force, also basing Chewie. 54-10

Round 3, Mel won init. Chewie went first and moved to get Momentum; Anakin elected not to take the AoO so as not to trigger Disruptive. Chewie promptly rolled a 1 (needing only a 2) and a 3; Anakin down to 70HP. After that I decided I had to attack Chewie after all, so Anakin hit him twice- without OF2, but he failed two Parries (100 left). Anakin retreated out of sight, eating 30 more damage on the way. I moved up a 501st trooper as a blocker. Han took out the trooper and deleted Doombot, then Sabine dropped a save 15 Grenade on Anakin, but he rolled an 18 and survived. Rexsoka took shots at Sabine, hitting 3/4 needing 3s. Chewie bodyguarded some (60 left) so Sabine took 20 damage, and everyone else got Cloaked. One of my 332nd troopers sniped a Mouse and the other hit Sabine for 20, then Rebel R2 locked the rest of my squad out of the middle. I advanced Tarkin and the rest of the troopers, ready to break in for the next round. 67-24

Round 4, Mel won init. Sabine threw a Grenade at Rexsoka (90HP) and got Counter Pushed (10HP) and retreated. Rexsoka jumped over some people and ended Chewie's career. One of the 332nd troopers got a line to shoot Threepio, but rolled a 1. Han got pushed by Leia and went after Anakin, taking 40dmg from AoOs, but missed one of his shots needing 9s, so Anakin lived on 10HP. The Legion's cleanup crew managed to take out Han, Artoo and Threepio, but I couldn't quite get to Sabine and time was up. 179-24

The "outactivate and smash" proved too strong for Luke who couldn't do anything against Rexsoka switching to blasters and Anakin's Force power. Once he was gone, it was already going to be uphill for Mel but from then on it felt like I made or hit every significant save and attack roll, whereas his dice failed him. Still, a fun match and I was happy to get to get some mileage out of Commander Hunter and Jedi Hatred this time.

If you do not have a choice of Map the winner of the "Map Roll" sets up first.

Remember kids, the world is a flat grid repeated over and over. If you walk far enough in one direction, you will eventually run into yourself coming from the other direction. Good Hunting! and may the "Dice" be with you...

thereisnotry defeats UrbanShmi 210-7 (3-0) on Cloud City

Laura won the 'map roll' so she set up first, and chose the room in the top-right of the map. I set up my droid army in the middle room on the left.

Round 1: Normal advancement. BB-9E used Wheel Form to run up to the center door on her side of the gambit room, to lock it. However, with a series of door openings and blastings I was able to open that door with T3's override, then shoot BB to death. No gambit. 10-0 for me.

Round 2: Laura won init and had me go first. T3 moved into safety in the gambit room and let the central door close naturally. The Death Trooper moved up to Thorium Charge it, and Sidious moved up beside him. Juno and VAR moved up and were closely clustered with their other evil allies. IG-88A moved up to shoot Sidious, but Laura had good evade dice. Swap for IG-88AD, who shot Sidious 4x...after the dust had cleared, 30dmg went to the Death Trooper (bodyguard). But then I did a Pulse Cannon on Sidious, who was adjacent to all of his evil friends. Juno died, Sidious took 40 dmg, and VAR and Death Trooper made their saves. Death Trooper at 40, Sidious at 110, VAR at 110. I used Identical Forces to advance IG-88BH so that he could then move up and use Flamethrower twice to kill the Death Trooper and drop Sidious to 70hp. I moved my Prowler Droid up in front of IG-88BH because I wanted to make it harder to attack him...but that also put the Prowler Droid within 6 of VAR and adjacent to BH...yeah, that was an ill-conceived plan! Gambit for me. 59-0.

Round 3: Sidious won init, so VAR used Force Push 5 to kill my Prowler Droid and do damage to IG-88BH and also activate him. T3 double-flamed Sidious and VAR (30hp and 70hp respectively). I swapped AD forward to draw a no cover shot on VAR, and managed to crit on one of the attacks, so he died. I then used Pulse Cannon to kill Laura's Uggie and my Mouse. I then swapped IG-88A forward to shoot the Emperor, and his evade dice weren't so hot this time, and he went down.

My droids returned balance to the Force! Laura did well to use the group-Push to deal good damage and activate one of my big guys, but in the end it was the lack of defenses for most of her squad (other than Sidious) that decided the match. Thanks for the game, Laura!

Randy over Spry 205 to 46 on Gangster's Vault.

The score does not reflect how close this game was. I used the advice that Jason gave me before The Championship. "Just roll good."

I started in the upper right Storage while Spry set up in the lower left by the latrine. Revan and the Nexus were on the bottom side of the central door. I used Revan to trade places with the pawn so that he could blow up the central door with the Star Forge Echo. The clones were able to draw a line on Revan. This cost me some early damage. Fixer ended the round as the only character in gambit.

I had Spry go first. Revan ended up dropping low enough to trigger Determined. Revan charged past Fixer and smashed Fi. Malak traded places with them and used Force Lightning to take out R2 and a mouse. He then ran 12 squares to get into the single gambit square at the bottom below the door. The clones pushed into the Conference Room as his commanders slowly moved up the street. Traya and Bandon got in a game of spades while they relaxed in the Vault Office.

At the top of the next round Malak used Ambush to flatten Fixer. The clones had made their way to the bottom of the hall and had shots on my backfield. I ran Revan down the hall and he placed Tray within 6 squares of all 4 clones. With a Sith Hunger and a Triple Attack the clone Scorch was down to 10. Her 24 Defense, Deflect, and the Nexus allowed her to survive the onslaught.

On the next round Traya canceled Scorch's subscription to the game and forcibly told Boss he was not welcome here. Malak was able to drop Boss and Sev with lightning before they could take down Traya. She ended up with 30 hit points and no Force left. Gree decided that was none of his business and went after Revan in gambit. Alpha and Gree tried to punish Revan with everything they had. Revan's rolls were hot though and he lived.

I rolled a 1 for init so Alpha dropped in next to Revan and let him have it. Alas, the "dice" had already decided who they wanted to win. Alpha got 0 damage through. Bandon used Sith Rage to double on Alpha. Revan finished him off and ducked back under the door safe in gambit. Gree crit Bandon for 70 and ran for cover. Malak ran out and hit him. Gree @ 10HP and his mouse were left vs. Malack @ 30HP, Bandon @ 40HP, Revan @ 20HP, Traya @ 30HP.

My rolls were good. I used my pawn and the nexus to reroll. I think I used 1 Force for a Master Speed from the Nexus, but I'm pretty sure the rest of the Force went to re-rolling Determined and Deflect saves. I prevented a ton of damage including a few crits. Thanks for the game Spry. Until we meet again. Thanks for reading.

urbanjedi def darth maim 159-96 (2-0)

rd 1 we started getting into it almost right away.
Maim gets luke in there against cognus but brought his foam lightsaber. Plag lit up him and chewie to activate the disruptive.

Rd 2 A surprise attack from cognus, some djem so, an AoO from luke, a lightning from plag luke using his foam lightsaber again and more, Luke, sabine, and cognus were dead, and chewie was on 10.

Rd 3
Leia was pulling chewie back, I got bandon up to grip the mouse to keep the damage under control, and Han missed the kill shot on bandon.

Rd 4
Plagiues lit up chewie and his uggie protector, which left him with basically just han left. Bandon got to safety, and the nexus died.

Rd 5 I was trying to get around to the other door so that the following round I Could lightning up his command zone, but the timer ran out just as I was moving plagiues.

The rolls were in my favor as even though he could make almost every djem so save, Luke couldn't do anything with his foam lightsaber, and I made my only grenade save.

Good game and if the rolls had been a bit different it could have been a very different game.

Skywalker's Fist (gandalf) defeats Familia de la Noche (Mando) 200-66

Mando brought in 2 Gizkas, an R7 and a Nightbrother Archer for his reinforcements. I won map roll and chose Gangster's Vault. Trevor took the left.

Round 1 advancement took place as usual. At the end of round 1 I had most of my squad gathered in the Vault office next to gambit, with the top door locked. The Nightfamily was hiding out behind some of the walls to the left and had opened the central door with a Gizka. I got gambit with a 332nd trooper towed by Doombot. 10-0

Round 2, Trevor won init. An Archer drew first blood by sniping a 501st trooper. We both moved some guys around and waited for an opportune moment. Then Doombot towed Anakin, opened the top door, and Anakin charged around the map and got to Talzin. OF2 stopped any Bubble or Bodyguard shenanigans so he took her out in one fell swoop. Trevor had the presence of mind to lock the door Anakin had just gone through with his R7, so none of my other guys could move or shoot through there as I had been hoping. Then one of the Sisters started hitting on Anakin. With Cloaked gone, one of the 332nd troopers was able to mow down two Archers. The other Hunter and the Warrior both attacked Anakin but he made an Evade and the Warrior rolled a 1 so he lived on 10HP. Rexsoka just spun in the vault. 63-5

Round 3, Trevor won init. A Hunter took shots at Anakin but missed and got Evaded so just finished him with Burst Lightning. My ugnaught blew the door locked by the R7 and Rexsoka jumped out. They made their Telekinesis save and took out Taron Malicos in one turn. The Warrior missed Rexsoka. A 33nd trooper wasted two more Archers and got wasted by the other Hunter. I moved up my commanders and grunts and took out a Gizka or two. 138-43

Round 4, Trevor won init. His Warrior super-killed a 501st trooper with a crit. The remaining 332nd defeated a Hunter. Talia smoked the 332nd. His last Hunter zapped a trooper and put 40dmg into Rexsoka. Rexsoka cleaned up Talia and the Warrior, and I got to a full win by hunting a couple more Gizka legs for lunch. Final score: 200 to (Order) 66.

I knew I had to trade Anakin for Talzin early otherwise his squad would pick me apart without being able to shoot back. I managed that and the rolls went somewhat in my favour after that for another Legion victory. It was a pleasure to play against Trevor and against everyone else; thanks again Randy for running three very enjoyable Leagues which have been a great opportunity to get more squads on the (virtual) table!
