Commander Effect
Characters with Light Spirit are subject to these effects: At the start of the skirmish, after setup, you may add a character named Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Spirit to your squad. Any "at the start of the skirmish" instances are immediately resolved.
I have a 200 pt Rebel squad, with Luke Skywalker, Rebel Hero. I bring in Ob-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Spirit, which has a normal cost of 8 pts., bringing my squad to 208 pts.
My opponent spends a Force to dispel/defeat Obi-Wan. Does my opponent score 8 pts, or zero? Is Obi Spirit free to my squad, or did he actually cost 8 pts and increase my squads point total over 200pts?

Character's added by CE score points. So your squad would be worth 208 points for scoring purposes. Same concept with Darth Sidious, Sith Emperor. He has a CE so your squad could be worth up to 220 points for scoring purposes depending on what you bring in.
Characters brought in through the reinforcement special ability would make the bringer cheaper. I.E. Lobot would cost 7 with 20pts of RF.
Reserves also score points.

Is this the same for characters brought in through Special Abilities?
