So I don't come across Vong often and I don't quite get this SA.
Ritual Scarring (This character ignores special abilities from allies that alter his printed Attack or Damage rating)
Does this mean that characters with such an ability do not benefit from SAs that juice their atk and dmg?

Correct.
Basically, Scarification and Shaper don't work on a piece that has Ritual Scarring.
Ritual Scarring is a balancing ability, which allows room for other approaches to damage boosts other than the old Scar/Shaper thing. If you're thinking about Yo'Gand, then I'd suggest trying him with the old Warmaster Tsavong Lah...when played together they both do 90dmg on the move.

OR... you could just pimp new Tsavong to hit for 130 unpreventable and half unmissable ;)

It's just Shaper +10 and Master Shaper. Those are the two Vong abilities that are increases to "printed" damage rating and are multiplied when you roll a critical hit. Everything else still applies to a character with Ritual Scarring.
