The Sith are again rising and this time really seething with pure force lightning energy, to announce the Strategicon Convention, located in Los Angeles, California, which is called "Gateway" in September, will be presenting 2 Star Wars Miniatures events on Sunday, September 06, 2026, 1:00pm-10:00pm, at The Hilton Los Angeles Hotel, located just a few minutes from LAX.

Please arrive at 12:00pm, so that we can get registered and get 1st round opponent pairings.

11:00am-12:00pm: Registration/Pay for participation badge/Opponent pairings


Event #1: 1:00pm-5:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures "The Sinister 6" Tournament


Each participant builds a 300pt team consisting of a minimum and maximum of 6 characters ( No Epics ), and your team can ONLY have 1 character per faction max, on your team. The following special rules for this tournament will be applied;

Players will activate 1 character per phase
No Override
No Disentegrations
No Reinforcements or Reserves
Your team can increase more than 6, in the following circumstances;

1. Betrayal
2. Sith Alchemy

15 pt Mini Gambit rule will be in effect ( 5% of 300pts )

Commander Effects and Special abilities that specify "followers and allies", will be allowed to be applied to minis on your team, regardless of Faction ( but Faction specific CE's and SA's, will not )

60 minute rounds, 3 rounds of swiss

Event #2: 6:00pm-10:00pm: Star Wars Miniatures Sealed Booster Draft Tournament


SWM's Virtual Sets #28 "Echoes in the Force", Set # 29 "I Have Friends Everywhere", and Set #30 "Friends Like These". Each participant will select random unique, uncommon, and common cards from sets 28, 29, & 30, to make a 200pt team, from the 3 latest sets. The tourney will consist of 3-4 swiss, 1 hour rounds. Gambit will be in effect. GM will provide minis and maps to borrow.

These 3 new sets are unbelievable and again continue to do what Wizards of the Coast couldn't do; make a more balanced game, and help the seldom used factions to actually be playable! Introducing many new SW expanded universe characters, Disney + Star Wars series characters, special abilities, Force powers, and cool commander effects, in which all factions are represented. With many new special abilities, Force powers, and characters never done yet in SWM, there are many new elements to keep our beloved game new, fresh, and super fun. You do not want to miss out on playing in a tourney with these exciting new sets!


Strategicon, is the proud Con that is So Cals finest gaming convention! It takes place Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day weekends, every year. Each holiday weekend has a special Con name, and Labor Day weekend is known as Gateway.
