Right!
This thread here is a Tribute Page to those whom must suffer along with us: our wives/husbands/partners etc. Some of them tolerate the small plastic people, some just plain don't understand, but we love them (the wives, I mean) to bits and think the world of them - especially when they let us invite several other like-minded SWM'ers around for a late Thursday night game session, or let us but another Vader when the other 7 are clearly enough!
Go for it!

Just to start the ball rolling: My Wife Jo is almost driven mad with the Star Wars stuff that sometimes goes on, but - bless her! - she loves it when I have a night of games and I enjoy myself. She always asks how the game went and did I enjoy it!
She played a coupl'a games early on (she smoked me and two others with Darth Vader, Dark Jedi!) and then gave up the game permanently when she read the card definition for Grenades 10 and commented that she understood all the words but not what they meant when you put them altogether!
But, I love her dearly! (Save 21)

my wife played a little bit at the beginning, last year she had an awesome mando squad that she made all by herself and it went undefeated but then she stopped, stupid twilight/vampire books... so now when i have my friends come over she says to her friends "yeah the boys are playing with their barbies"

My wife played once using three Sith Heavy Assault Droids in a 150 game and smoked me. I didn't get a single VP. The next time she played (with another squad) she lost, now she won't play again... sore loser :(

My gf and i met playing d&d together so it was only natural that she picked up minis when i did. This year at Dragoncon i got 7th and she got 8th. I dont know what i would have done on the ride back if she had beat me :) . That being said she plays very well and beats me about 40% of the time when we play (stupid mandos). All of her success she beat the crap out of a bunch of guys in a tourney one time and she didnt even want to play :) i think i got a good one.

My girlfriend didn´t know anything about star wars. :) I spend a lot of money and time in star wars, so she had a massiv storage on endurance. Once she told me that she wanna play a ORPG witch cost 13€ a month. I told her that i play it with her if she is prepared to spend 13€ on Minis a month. After a few weeks we never played the ORPG again but the Minis still left.

She's the best. She encourage me to play SWM, because she knows I love it! We play other games together. She thinks SWM has to many rules, and "takes to long"

I am directly responsible for about 20 other players in Lower Hutt (NZ) and a couple in the States! Ah, the joys of being a Youth Leader...
