Okay, long time lurker, first time poster.

I've read the discussions where the IE Thrawn works best with uniques, and I agree with that in principle.

I wanted to give him a try with a little unconventional wisdom.

AE 25 Imperial Darth Vader, Imperial Commander 53
IE 24 Imperial Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo) 32
RS 39 Imperial Stormtrooper Officer 14
KotOR 38 Fringe Czerka Scientist 13
CotF 30 Imperial Mas Amedda 8
RS 36 Imperial Stormtrooper 5
RS 36 Imperial Stormtrooper 5
RS 36 Imperial Stormtrooper 5
RS 36 Imperial Stormtrooper 5
RS 36 Imperial Stormtrooper 5
RS 36 Imperial Stormtrooper 5

With the Czerka, Opportunist, Vader's CE and the Stormtrooper officer, 5 point Stormtroopers can twin for 20 damage each time with an +11 attack and have a 22 defense. If you get one double attack twin opportunist chance from the officer you can do 80 damage... oh and then there is Vader who can go in at the end of a round, do 60. Win initiative and do 40.

Thrawn + Echani Handmaiden is probably my favorite. They become a mini-Dash Rendar. Also Snowtrooper Commander and Elite Snowtroopers will be my fun 200 squad with the new thrawn and various different vader options.

the only problem: you have to bunch the Stormies up with the Czerka Scientist, which can lead to grenades or flamethrowering, which =DEAD

True enough.

If I were to play this I'd have some of the troopers on "swap duty" leaving me with maybe 3-4 and the officer around the czerka.
