            When determining range, you must count around walls and closed doors, not through them. If the character is within range, they are affected. Here's an example:  In this picture, only Veers and the Snowtrooper are affected by Crix's Disruptive. The other 3 are more than 6 squares away and are thus not affected by Disruptive.

            ED, I don't think that's exactly what he was asking, though your explanation is technically correct.
 To the OP, the easiest way to think about it, is that doors that are closed are basically considered Walls.  So, does Disruptive work through walls?  No, it doesn't, because you can't count range THROUGH a wall.  So, you have to open the door for a piece to be affected by Disruptive.
