What targeting rules apply? Can you target any character within 3 squares as with a regular melee attack or must you choose the nearest?

All characters within 3 squares are considered adjacent, you can attack anyone.

Adjacent rules apply to all figures within the required range, when attacking on the Melee Reach character's own turn.
