What do you think are the top 10 Republic pieces? I'm working on an article about the Republic faction for my local group, so I was thinking about it.
This is my tentative top 10, in no particular order:
Mas Amedda
R2-D2, Astromech Droid
Captain Rex
General Skywalker
Yoda on Kybuck
Ferus Olin (I know he's a Rebel with Republic affinity, but I'm counting him as a Republic for the purposes of this list).
Mace Windu, Legacy of the Light Side (not sure how he'll shape up in the top meta, but I think he's the best option if you want to play a big beatstick in Republic).
Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Trainer (opens up some different squad building options?)
Captain Panaka
Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist - best non-unique?

Well its fair to say that

are guranteed to be in the top ten
next three will probly be

then there are my next four which are debatable dependant on your perspective, mine are
Jedi Weapon Master
Queen Amidala
Spaarti
Gowk
but then again mace light side, ferus and even jar jar have they're advantages. it all depends what your using and your playing style

if you have someone that really knows how to play Jar Jar, there is no way that he is doesn't make a top 10 list for Republic

Queen Amidala is one of the most under appreciated pieces in SWM history, imo.

Although anyone could do this the search reveals the following top ten based on ratings:
Mas
R2-doombot
General Skywalker
Grand Master Yoda
Captain Rex
General Obi-Wan Kenobi
The Dark Woman
Jedi Weapon Master
Rodian Diplomat
Shaak Ti, Jedi Master
Ferus Olin, Yobuk, Captains Panaka and Yularen follow pretty closely with Mace Windu LotLS coming in a few points behind that and Jar Jar even further back. I do think it is horrible that Queen Amidala isn't rated a lot higher.
GrandMasterYoda and GOWK are pretty similiar so having both isn't really so hard except that you can't use Yobuk if you use GMY. ShaakTi probably makes that list more on her use in Rebels and for her value to the Republic although she has her moments. The Dark Woman's high rating make make her a real dark horse that someone else could explain. I'll say the Rodian Diplomat actually does belong in that top 10 as it gets you all the normal benefits of a cheap diplomat plus it removes the opponent's stealth.
