Leia gives him re-rolls for Defense, letting him stretch his Force points a little further. Kol Skywalker can also beat it out with most melee beats. With re-rolls and Force points, the Felucians can be 7-point nightmares for anything other than ranged to take down.

It's interesting how the WotC sets tend to have more internal synergy but the Vsets overall have more tier 1 pieces. Makes the squads overall more equal than you might expect.

I'll Try Uninverse --Universe-- 40 Prince Xizor 34 Nom Anor 120 Abyssin Black Sun Thug x15 6 Kaminoan Ascetic (200pts. 19 activations) Nom-bombsI ALWAYS hated going against Nom-bombs. You can't hit what you can't see. 15 bombs should do the trick. Xizor gives them all nades 20 and accurate. The BS thugs are not your normal bombs, they shoot, so you will have to come and get them if you want to kill them. One oddball in the Ascentic but nom gives him stealth so he'll work. This squad will hang with most anything other than hate. Was thinking of going with a form of Black and Blue but without Mas, it's not as useful. Makes the squads overall more equal than you might expect. back in the day, they did booster drafts and sealed booster tournaments at the comic stores just like MTG, so having synergy built into the sets was a must to make the tournaments work. This is also why the released so many of the same storm trooper and battle droid, so all those new CEs had something to work with.

They also had to have synergy because if a new player invested $30 and got 2 boosters but still couldn't make a squad, what would the chances be that they'd spend anything more?

The threads for all of the Round 1 matches have been posted. Post your squad and make your case for why you will beat your opponent.
The strongest case you could make would be to actually play a game where you win and report the results, but it's
not required.
As part of your description, state the map for your squad. After your opponent states his map, you may want to describe how you'd approach a game on his match as well. Assume the full Restricted map list.
Everyone else, go ahead and vote. Well, after the players make their cases.
Round 1 voting ends in 4 days.
