It says" allies with stealth gain accurate shot." SO I take it an allie with stealth that has melee attack can now shoot people also?

No, Accurate Shot does not grant a melee character the ability to make non-melee attacks.
They would gain the ability, but it would be no benefit for them as they must still abide by the restrictions of Melee Attack.

The reason I asked is that there is a character (can't remember) who gives force renewal to everyone, even if the characters didn't start with force.
SO, I assumed when it says gives allies accurate shot, it might have trumped the fact that they never had nonmelee attack to start with. We played it correctly, but was just making sure.
