Hosting a 200pt tournament to prepare for Chicago regional. We'll be having a blast!

PM Darkdracul for specifics.

Oooh - PM for details.

Is this an exclusive event. Trying to keep out the riff-raff? Wink

Assuming my request off work is granted, I'll be there.

We going to be bringing a 200 point squad and placing it in a hat and drawing out like we talked about. That way we play everyone's squad including out own. It will be a lot of fun. Other events?

For a fun event. We can play competitive 200 also and Bryan may not want to play that format I mentioned, we just talked about it night before Ind. Regional. I got a squad for every occasion(s).

Any restrictive map is allowed . . . from either Lightside and Darkside list.

Maybe be prepared to do something fun.
We may have some players (Gizmo & friend) new to V-sets coming to play too...
Don't know if they would be comfortable swapping squads.

Assuming that Timmer gets the night off (because he's my ride), I plan to be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Still talking with the wife about making the trip from Plainfield. I would be cool playing a squad someone else made, but not sure someone else would play one I made...

Looks like I will be able to attend, wasn't sure how work sched. Was going to play out but looks like I should be free so I'll be there, Dillon may come as well but not sure. Let us know what type of format you will be running for sure so that we know what to bring. I'm cool with whatever, either comp. Or switching squads or both if we have time.

Last I heard everyone put together a competitive squad you'd bring to a regional, and a tier 2 more fun squad. We'll figure out specifics later.

Not going to make it guys. Played a game with vsets last night and feel extraordinarily overwhelmed by the impact they have on the game. I will be toying with the idea of doing more with them, but the barrier to entry has been set very high and continues to get higher. I will have to consider whether I have and want to commit the time to learning the new version of the game.

Sorry to hear that.

My advice - come anyway. We have all decided to bring 2 squads. 1 more hardcore and 1 more simple and fun. We can all use the latter. The only way to start to learn the new stuff is to play.

Also - Instead of trying to PLAY the new stuff, play old stuff and learn new stuff by playing against it

It's not that nothing WotC did can't compete. It certainly can. Try one of these 2 squads that are still perfectly competitive:

--Skybuck--
51 Yoda on Kybuck
47 General Skywalker
28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler
23 Captain Panaka
23 Padme Amidala, Senator
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
8 Mas Amedda
5 Rodian Diplomat
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 10 activations)

Or

--Simplified WotC Stealth N Blue--
54 Cad Bane
32 Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo)
31 Arica
28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler
13 Amanin Scout
11 Admiral Ozzel
8 Mas Amedda
8 R7 Astromech Droid
3 Mouse Droid
6 Rodian Brute x2
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 13 activations)

To add to this--I know a lot of times newer players feel limited by their collections. If there's anything you're missing that you would want to play with, I'm absolutely certain someone would be able to lend it to you. I also have a box full of v-set stuff from urbanjedi I was going to bring in case you and other new players came.

Bryan Hole is pulling out the stops to be up there in the archives for best hosts in SWM!

Grillin' burgers ( portobellos for the vegetarians), mixin' fresh made strawberry margaritas, and playing minis. It's heaven.

I'm on the bye this round, relaxing in the grass in his front lawn, enjoying this beautiful 72 degree weather.

Here's some squads:

Laura - Hethrir, Vader of Lothal, 2 elite reborns, Desann, Bothan Sabateur, uggie

Greg - Karrde, Boba AfH, Mira or NS, Morrigan Karrde, Cad Bane, uggie

Tim - IG-88A, IG-88 Assassin, Dice Igabon, Luke RH, Reeikan, broken threepio, R2 with sensor, uggie, 2 mice

Bryan - Revan SL, Plageus the Wise, Darth Bandon, Darth Wyyrlok, gloomwalker infiltrator, holosid, Sith recruit, XT-6

Mike - Karrde, Boba AfH, Zuckuss BH, Vornskr Alpha, Jareal, Greedo BH, R7, 3 uggies
