I downloaded all the vassal stuff and I'm ready to play, i've tried to start a game but I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong or if there is just nobody else online
Any advice on playing Starwars minis on Vassal?

to be online you have to click the double arrow link in the upper left corner to connect to the Vassal Server. it then brings up a window to your right. click on that double arrow again within that window.

a freeware program featuring modules for other games.
SWM is one of them. You have hundreds of others from historical Simulations to Apples to Apples
Available on vassalengine.org

hardest part is making sure that ALL maps are within the same file. There are currently 13 Map packs (14 if you count the SSB module and 15 if you count the additional map by another 3rd party) and 2 modules (if you count the Lost 20)
