zero-time force powers and replaces turn? Options

If I am running Luke and Yoda and Stormie Han,

Can I use force stun before charging fire?

Basically is there a window after I activate, that I can do stuff before I replace my turn? Or do I have to declare I am replacing my turn as soon as my turn starts. I know that you could use force stun afterwards, but wasn't sure about before.

Is there a FAQ reference to that? (just to help a brother out, I'm kinda busy to go digging atm)

well just making assumptions, quite possibly wrong. Been wrong plenty of times before. Will look around.

Found this among some stuff I scraped from Wizards before the forums went away.

But the question remains, and I'm still looking for something buried in that FAQ that would apply.

Personally, I've always generally understood "replaces turn" to mean you can do what the ability says, and nothing else beyond resolving whatever effects happen in the process.

So I'm leaning NO to using any zero-time stuff when you replace turn, but not fully sold on that quite yet.

Without resorting to a coin flip ... rules committee concluded:

'Zero-time abilities' are only usable while taking your normal turn; They are not available while using a 'replaces turn' ability.

You can master speed and sith rage.
I don't see why stun or burst lightning or sith hatred should be any different

they are different because WOTC ruled them thus- the reason given for those two exceptions is that making an attack generates an opportunity to use Sith Rage, and moving generates an opportunity to use Master Speed. but otherwise, you can't interrupt your replaces-turn ability to do a Force Stun.

Timing is the issue.

When you replace turn, you get to do what it says. There is no "spot" for you to introduce a zero-time ability that doesn't affect something like movement (or attack value or damage) assuming that the ability you use lets you move and/or attack.

You would still get to resolve end-of-turn abilities (or CEs) like override or any cannon-shot type CEs.
