The regular Rebel Commando has been completely eclipsed by the Veteran Rebel Commando. Same cost, but the Veteran has better stats more beneficial special abilities.

What other pieces have been completely eclipsed? Many have become obsolete because they are relatively underpowered (most of Rebel Storm), but what others have been eclipsed or matched in every category without losing any special abilities for the same or lower cost?

One that is very close is the Ewok Scout over the Ithorian Scout. For the same cost, it's the same special abilities plus Swarm, and a much higher defense. But the Ithorian has more hit points.

The Rebel Commando can benefit from the Czerka and the Verpine Tech. Not game winning, and the Veteran is generally the better option, but I wouldn't say compelety obsolete, unlike the OR Recruit and OR Guard.

This doesn't exactly meet your criteria, but I have trouble justifying the Arc Trooper. For two points less, I think either Scorch or the Arc Trooper Sniper are better options (unless you really think those 10hp are going to save your butt). But the sculpt is cool.

Fixed. Assuming, of course, that that is what you meant.

I'd say the Young Jedi Knight has been compeltely replaced by the Exceptional Jedi Apprentice. For 3 more points (and the slightly painful sacrifice of 1 defence and 3 attack), you gain Double Attack, Impulsive Jedi Hunter, Force Renewal, Force Push 2, Lightsaber Block, and upgrade Knight Speed to Master Speed.

Not that the YJK was ever really that good to begin with, of course. Glare
