w/ the new obi wan coming out, and his ce affecting allies, not just followers, will gen windu be replaced? I'd hate to see his value suddenly plummet.

absolutely, he will be replaced.
as far as his value, it wont drop any more then where its at, he has the fact that he isnt made any more on his side.
at 70 some odd points though, i dont see him being used alot anyway.

It really depends. We don't know the full set yet. As a commander, of course he has been replaced. As a fighter, that really depends. He is slightly better than CS Mace, and you never know if more "allies" CE's will be coming.

I think he has been replaced. Obi JG is a better commander, and there are better fighters for less points out there.

I also never quite got what everything thinks is so good about him and Dash in DD. Six attacks is nice, but pretty useless if you can't hit anything... and that's all he seems to do.

There really isn't as good a fighter as Mace in Republic. I think it comes down to support and preference for CS Mace vs Gen Mace. Absorb, Riposte, and Master Speed are all excellent additions for a beatstick. CS Mace being cheaper and follower is nice, but Gen Mace is still a great, solid beatstick.

Obi is great, a top teir piece, now doubt. But Gen. Mace is still a decent option (especially with Obi), and we still have a full set to see if anyone will boost the Maces even more.

My group frequently plays Fantastic Four Melee games (200 pts or a little under, 4 melee figs following faction rules). I'm stoked to play the new Obi with General Windu, a Jedi Weapon Master and Qui-Gon Jedi Master.

3 quad attackers and Obi becomes nigh-invincible after Qui-Gon dies...

Then again, I wouldn't mind a triple-attacking Vornskr or quad-attacking Mission Vao instead of the JWM if we decided to play a strict 200.

We should maybe be thankful OWKJG does cost one more point and thus make a Dynamic Duo with Rex which would be very similiar to the Windu/Dash DD except that then the shooter could actually go first.

I wouldn't say he has been replaced simply because his competitive window in Minis was like 6 months or so, he never did his job in 150 and 200 you can't fit that many super competitive options, particularly when he can't defend himself that well.

General Windu was never tier 1, maybe 1.5 at best, but Obi's options are far superior for Surprise Move and SSM will be huge if you play it correctly.

I like the new obi, but he does seem as a better version of the old windu combined with a more balanced version of the old general obi.

it looks like Jedi general will be the answer to GOWK, and the replacement for Gen Windu.

He was tier 1 around COTF and BH. Clones with him was a pretty good squad back in the day. Boba RS Gen Windu r2 mas was a great 150 back in the day.

Great fighter indeed, but for squad building i would have to go with Kenobi, especially in 150-200 pts. that CE is just too good.
it is possible to make him Another GOWK aswell, but it would be too costly to do it.
Qui Gon JM
New Obi GJ
GMY.
Toooooo expensive.
